Last year - 2025. Booked our flight as soon as our spot in the finals was clinched. Already had friends up there with a place to crash and bought game tickets when we arrived. Wouldn’t trade that experience for anything.

Been 8 times, 3 of which were when I was in High School (1999,2000, and 2001) so they weren't much more than just watching the games with dad. Twice while in school at Texas (04 and 06) and then 3 time since (08, 09 and 11).

Texas won it in 05 and I wasn't there but I was there in 04 and 09 for runner-up runs.

I'm a huge baseball guy, so I could absolutely be convinced to just go, but still holding out to do it when Kentucky is there. We've only been once, under Mingione, so maybe we'll be back soon enough and the stars will align where I can go.

My uncle lives in Lincoln and took my brother and I to Rosenblatt all through the 80s. Never been to the new stadium.

Yes. 2022. Close friend convinced me to wait and go if Ole Miss got to the finals. Great call!

would you guys recommend going?

100% even if you’re only a little bit of a college baseball fan. I’ve been once, championship series in 2017 and brought my son who was 15 at the time. Even though your Gators swept LSU in 2 games the entire trip was an absolute blast. Will go back hopefully in the next few years whether LSU is playing or not.

And I have never been more glad I didn’t go. These meltdowns in postseason play are becoming the schloss standard. Not sure what the issue is. Perhaps he’s not as dialed in now that he’s working for his close friend and just lacks the urgency he had at a&m.
Whatever it is, I am sure the Ags are sympathetic lol.
Our only choice is to hope he can turn it around. He would have to really fail before his buddy would ever consider making a change so all we can do is hope he fixes this.
Question to Texas fans only. Have we ever had a good offensive team since tulo has been coaching the hitters? I can’t recall ever being happy with the job he’s done.

For the folks that have been to a final, there are 2 Omaha experiences - opening weekend and finals weekend.

Opening weekend is a celebration of college baseball. 8 teams, 8 fanbases, energy around town that the series is back. Locals are into it. Everyone has hope that this is the year.

Finals weekend is all about baseball. The Friday off day really separates the start from the end. Most of the fair atmosphere around the park winds down. It’s down to a really important weekend series between 2 teams/fanbases at that point. Totally different feel to it.

Opening weekend is a must.
