I respect Arkansas and the kind of man Sam Pittman appears to be. Having said that, he seems to be wanting to live that EddieO lifestyle.

He obviously wants to win, but after watching the presser today, he’s ok with losing too. Statements like “it’s up to me to fix this (after 4 years)”, “I’m obviously not getting it done”, and “Arkansas fans deserve better”, doesn’t sound like a guy wanting to return, rather someone looking for a buyout.

Really candid and odd press conference.

He’s ready to cash that buyout check and take that rack to the beach. Meanwhile the rest of us will be back at work Monday morning. Fact. And best to him and Coach O.

Just wondering what Arnett will do? All I’ve heard is State fans saying he is out at the end of the season.

Not to beat the Chad morris Texas ties drum but Arkansas really does need a Texas guy with a St Louis bagman.

Also thought the Enos hire was so boring. Could have found someone more innovative and it’s not like Enos is a great recruiter.

If they were also serious they’d have thrown the bag at the qb going to auburn

You don’t need bagmen anymore, guy. Perhaps a more effective NIL collective

NIL - why isn’t Wal Mart to Arky as Nike is to Oregon?

Both feet have to leave the ground simultaneously for a jump. Don’t think Sam has done that in a while.

He lived his dream of becoming ahead coach but the reality of what you have to do to win has set in. Except for Spurrier, all successful coaches look like they haven't slept in weeks. Pittman is not that guy

I understand that, but dumb blondes won't give it up to you for going winless in the SEC like they would for winning a natty. You gotta put in some work first to perfect the Ed O lifestyle.

Does Bobby Petrino get a second shot in Ark? I mean he would be cheap and would love to get away from Jimbo. To say he would be an improvement over current Ark coach would be an understatement.

The older generation of the Walton family were big sports donors, if NIL had hit back when Bud Walton was kicking around Arkansas would have bought half the athletes in the country.

The current generation is more into civic improvement, education, and art. You can't swing a dead cat on the campus of Arkansas or Missouri (the Walton family has deep ties to Mizzou) without hitting something donated or funded by the Waltons.

I haven’t heard this and honestly that decision wouldn’t have been made at this point since we are 4-3 with the only bad loss was a close game on the road to USCe. Losing to LSU and Alabama isn’t a firing offense.

Not defending Arnett but just saying we have plenty of winnable games left for him to still have a decent season. Auburn, Kentucky, A&M, OM and southern miss

If he gets us to 7-5 he won’t be fired imo

6-6 is debatable. Miss a bowl with this team and he is likely out

People tweeting about his mantitties broke him. He deleted social media afterwards and he clearly spent more time thinking about those tweets than he did about his football program. Sad!

Saw his presser. Sam really appeared down and defeated. He sees the writing on the wall.

What do you expect him to say after losing that game?

With coaches lavish contracts they win even when they lose. See Jumbo Fisher.

I’m upset at the losses but I don’t care for insulting the man personally.

No he was fired for cause and can never work in any capacity in the UA system of schools. Happens when you hire you mistress to your staff.
