Do you consider Alabama’s season last year to be a good year?

He is in his first year at Florida. Exactly how many wins Florida will have during the regular season games?

You certainly did before he took the LSU job.

Not in his first year at any location as a HC.

Then at what point do you predict Kiffin will get LSU to the playoffs regularly? At what point will it become scary to see Kiffin at LSU? See your own words quoted above.

I don't think I'm being homer when I say thinking we finish 15th is absurd.

We are going to be much improved. However, we have a rough schedule. I think reasonable expectations based on those things and what we currently know about our roster...5-7, 6-6. Maybe. Maybe more. Stein just has "it.".

I know all of this will ring hollow to rival fans until we actually get on the field, but I promise, folks are going to see the new UK this year and realize we've got something cooking.

No kidding. I thought we at least bought a 5th place ranking in some dude’s preseason list.

I am not surprised to see LSU being ranked below Ole Miss.

And I am not surprised that you are still obsessed with LSU. You claimed it was a Brian Kelly obsession, but he’s gone and you’re still digging through our trash. What gives?

In the portal era I dont think preseason rankings beyond tiers are remotely meaningful.

Outside of the coaches I doubt anyone really knows what they have fully right now.

CFP Tier Teams:
-UGA
-Texas

Borderline CFP / Top 25 Teams:
-Bama
-OU
-OM
-A&M
-LSU
-TN

6-6 to 8-4
-Mizz
-AU
-UF
-USCe
-Vandy
-UK

6-6 or Below
-MSU
-ARK

I don't think so. Lane is in his first season at LSU. Sorry you think highly of Lane.

Ok, I'll bite. I totally agree that 1st year expectations should be tempered, but the second part-

you do not think highly of Lane Kiffin as a coach? Care to elaborate?

My point of view, Lane was always a high-risk, high-reward guy, but his time at Ole Miss cooled off the risk concerns. He had them punching above their weight class, and it wasn't just an outlier season. He was stacking good seasons.
His risks were feuding with administrations with egos, and jumping to better jobs. He didn't seem to fight with Ole Miss admin, and LSU's new AD is giving him free reign. And I'm not sure how many "better" jobs open in the next couple years. I think he'd learn from Saban and his own experience that "any" NFL job isn't better, it would have to be a good situation. And LSU's comparable to almost any high-end college job.
