He's also currently unable to practice or play due to foot surgery (which is also why the Saints cut him last week).
Legitimately no idea what he's going to do since it sounds like he won't be healthy for a while.

I don't think so?
Judge ruled against the NCAA and their rules, but the SEC wasn't a party to the lawsuit. Haven't seen anything say the TRO overrules any conference rules.

It’s why Nico Iamalava ended up at UCLA. Couldn’t transfer in conference. Probably would have saved Freeze’s job.

I mean, seriously. Somebody just got a judge to allow guys that were in NFL preseason camps, to go back to college and play. You had to sign contracts to get to go to camps.
That used to be the biggest no-no rule around, and it's getting bypassed.
At this rate, it might not be a surprise for someone to be able to stay on an NFL practice squad, and still play college that same season.
I just don't think some conference rule will stand up vs the courts, the way things are now.

Better chance than NCAA rules.
For example, a judge just ruled a Villanova QB eligible. Conference said "nope" and that appears like it'll be upheld.
Brandon Sorsby - judge rules him eligible. Big 12 said "nope" and rather than fight he chose to sit a year.
Conference rules are far more likely to be upheld than NCAA rules in court.
