He better not, if he has any self-preservation instincts.

Ole Miss fans are still butt-hurt about the Kiffin situation, and want Sankey to punish LSU and Kiffin. That's narrow minded.

The Powers That Be at LSU, Alabama, Georgia, Auburn, Florida, and now Texas and Oklahoma- they're watching the big picture. They want to win titles, they have all done so. OU and Texas came to the SEC with that intent. They thought the SEC would give them the best chance to do so.

These players will play in college this year, somewhere. If they are choosing an SEC school (LSU in this case) and get blocked, they may go to a Big 10 school instead.
You know, same Big 10 that negotiated a bigger TV contract a couple years back, and people all said that wouldn't matter. But the Big 10 has won the last 3 playoffs now, and SEC schools (like everyone else) are scrambling to find ways to get more money. That extra TV money hurts us.

If the conference continues to put member schools at a disadvantage, the schools will react. We saw "worst case scenario" a couple seasons ago, when half the Pac 12 jumped to the Big 10 and destroyed that conference completely. A more reasoned reaction would be to replace the conference leadership to put someone more inclined to help the member schools in place.
The SEC office should have priorities to enable one of it's own to be able to win in this, plain and simple, not to enforce "rules" that only hinder members, and allow other conferences to benefit at the SEC's expense.
