They are big boys now making big boy money and making big boy decisions.
They should lawyer up, and get ready to pay up.

These are adults who signed a contract. They are FA'ing and now they are FO'ing.
Getting exactly what they deserve.

If the timeline Ole Miss spelled out there is factual then this is not intentionally timed. In fact it looks like good faith attempts were made.
I mean they did wait 4 months after the last rejection before filing the lawsuit when it looked like they were on a monthly basis prior.

lol, we set a donation record this year, doubled the last record.
It's still $1 million. You would be a fricking moron to just let it walk. But apparently LSURulzSEC has all the millions in the world.

You have to be petty to do this. Sounds like some real bitches in Oxford.

Who said anyone was letting it walk? Who said it wasn't going to be paid back? Just because its not happening on OM's timeline doesn't mean the players will eventually pay it back or LSU, thing is OM just walked into a bad looking situation that will now be used against them in recruiting and yall don't even realize it...
and OM is the last school to be clutching pearls over contracts now with an investigation underway for tampering...

If you were a business owner, how long would you let a past due debt sit there? Because under the signed contract this became past due in February

Honestly this has nothing to do with LSU unless they told the players they would pay it. The contract was between the school and the 2 players.
Not sure why LSU fans are so butthurt by this. If any players on our roster signed contracts with other schools that clearly spells out the language of what they owe should they not fulfill their obligations, I would say the players need to pay it. Charlie Weiss has language in his contract of what has to be paid to lsu if he leaves for another head coaching job in the sec, so you're saying he shouldn't have to pay that if he became the bama oc next year?

They didn’t. It was a year long contract with a buyout clause. The players exercised the buyout clause but didn’t pay the buyout. The amount they were paid or going to be paid is irrelevant. I’m sure the money was spread out like every other college football player contact.

It’s going to be used against LSU, no one will want to hop into the portal to transfer there bc LSU doesn’t take care of their players. Once the rev share was signed, LSU should’ve agreed to cover their buyout expense or at least warned them that they’d be on the hook for it.

This will be outstanding for recruiting.....
Is this the same school that was openly caught tampering with the Clemson kid?

Yeah, a very bad look for LSU. Advising the kids to transfer and then leaving them high and dry because the children's hospital money well has dried up.

I bet every admin/coach in CFB (save LSU in this case... but maybe kind of a little) are hoping Ole Miss wins and a message is sent.
You think your hands are clean bama fan?

Not its not, even if its tried, it will fail...

and you know this how? how do you know LSU doesn't take care of players? because this hasn't been paid back yet in a contract that LSU is not even a part of?
quote:

again how do you know they haven't been told they will?
If I were a betting man...I am betting LSU will eventually cover this, but its going to be on THEIR time line, not Ole Miss' especially since OM only cares about contracts when it affects them...
This is a bad look for OM, no matter how you try to spin it, its not good...
