However the refs looked at it, most likely frame by frame, and they said fumble.
Actually they did not. The referees that saw it frame by frame allowed the call to stand, which means they did not see enough to overturn the call on the field. If it had been conclusive with a frame by frame look it would have been confirmed not said to stand.
I am not arguing that it was a fumble or an INC....just correcting your statement.

One could push a ball forward
Does the arm not have to be going forward to push it forward?

It could have gone either way, but I would have been pissed if I were Georgia because Bama was getting all the calls. I am not saying I disagreed with any of the calls, just that there were some that could have gone either way or been no calls, and they were all going for Bama.
They evened out a little bit later in the game.
I agree with this. Calls as a whole were pretty fair. Alabama fans will say we got the benefit and Georgia fans will say Alabama got the benefit.
Usually that means it was a pretty evenly called game.

It was a fumble, but I didn't admit it was any thing but the worst call in the history of sports until the game was over and the Dawgs were on top

If he had lost control of the ball before his arm was going forward, why did the ball go forward? Wouldn't it have gone straight down or backwards? Something propelled the ball forward.

So "IF" the hit caused him to lose control of the ball, it's still a fumble... correct? Then in my opinion the Bryce Young incomplete pass/non fumble, should have been intentional grounding.

I did a whole physics equation to prove that he must have been in possession of the ball to throw it what far,

The way the rules are written both calls, regarding QBs, were correct.
I was impressed by Young's awareness to move his hand forward as soon as he felt contact from the backside. The officials called it a forward pass and he was not sacked.
Where Stetson's fumble became so much bad luck for him was the ball bouncing right up into the hands of the DB and his foot was like one inch from the white line.
After that play I had just about decided the Ga could not buy a break.

The rules desperately need to be rewritten from arm "going forward" to somethign along the lines of intent to pass. All this happens in the blink of an eye in less than a second, but technically if a QB is under pressure and his ballcarrying arm is back, he could be in process of tucking the ball to run at the same time a defender knocks it out yet it'd be considered an incomplete pass simply because the arm was "goign forward". Byrce Young was in no way attmepting to throw a pass. Don't even get me started on the horrendous intentinoal grounding call on him when pickens stopped his route. Uneblieveable.

Separate topic but really don’t like the rule that defender can be bringing a QB to ground and has full control of the QB, and the QB can just flick the ball below shoulder level while going down and in the grasp.
Clearly Bryce Young was going down on the sack and couldn’t even lift his arm nor throw the ball more than 2 feet forward into the ground. To think that was a real pass attempt is laughable.
Same thing happened to UGA earlier in the year with Bo Nix parallel to the ground and in mid being tackled by Georgia defender.
Bad rule….needs to be changed.

We got called for 2 or 3 of those this year, too. Plays where the WR read the route one way and the QB another, clear as day the throw was to a spot where the QB thought the WR would be and nobody was there, and they still threw the flag.
Insanely stupid rule interpretation that they clearly emphasized this year.

I almost did not say anything, because in my mind it doesn't really matter.
Thank you for not getting defensive and start calling names. A lot of posters would have.
Ftr, that call did not change the game. I'm not sure any one call had a huge affect on the game, and I saw several calls I thought were incorrect made against both teams.
It seemed the referees allowed the wrs/dbs to play. PI could have been called against both teams a couple of times.
That tackle by your DB of Jermaine Burton had to be called though. Gotta admit when shown on the playback I laughed out loud.
It was a good game and I think 99% of the Alabama fans have shown excellent sportsmanship. You have all been very gracious.
