Can we all agree now that S Bennett threw the ball forward and it wasn’t a fumble? The ball flew 5 yards forward in the air and #14 on Alabama just kinda oh well here’s a fumble I’ll just catch and run on back to the sideline.

That was a bullshite call but in the end good guys won

Apparently it’s what the team needed so thank God it happened.

No.

Just because the ball moves forward doesn’t mean it was being possessed when it happened.

Ball just magically flies 5 yards when a QB isn’t possessing?

That still shot is meaningless unless his throwing motion starts at his head.

I thought I was the only one who thought his hand was going forward upon review. It was an incomplete pass no matter what anyone says.

Well, you can push a ball forward without possessing it. He was on fire after this play, so not a big deal.

After that call, I fumbled my remote 20 feet forward into the kitchen.

Ok, I will ask you this if it would have been called incomplete on the field at the time, would Saban called for a review?

It was a fumble. It went 19 yards towards the sideline.

And it's still less than the distance the ball had to travel sideways to go out of bounds.

He threw it 1 yard from the hash. The distance from the hash to the sideline is 20 yards, that means 19 yards it had to travel before it was picked up by an Alabama player.

Meanwhile, I don't think it even made it back to the line of scrimmage as far as going forward.

But I guess some people believe it's impossible to fumble a ball and it moves forward? Seems an odd position to me.

He lost control of the ball long before that image was taken, and even then look how far back his hand is.

Or are you claiming that QB's are now throwing the ball with it positioned vertically on a finger?

I always thought it was a fumble. Still do.

I did a whole physics equation to prove that he must have been in possession of the ball to throw it what far, and the guy who asked me to do it never even responded. Thankfully I was super bored and needed something to do that night

What? The photo is a tiny snapshot taken at a specific angle and distance. It proves nothing.

I will agree that UGA won, and won by double digits in the biggest game of the year.
