In my opinion the big 12 was never the best or second best conference.

It was when the Big 12 had Oklahoma, Texas, Nebraska, and Colorado(they were in their prime}. Those schools all have Nattys and that's 3 times the blue bloods the SEC had.

You're right, I forgot UGA went to the playoffs last year, as it was such an uninspiring performance.

You forgot that UGA was in the playoff last year because it is so common for UGA to be in the playoff or the predecessor "playoff" that it is unremarkable that UGA is in the playoff. Its akin to the sky being blue, it is blue so often that it goes un-noticed...

2. Matchups - OU vs Bama/UGA/LSU/Florida/Ole Miss/Aub/Tenn/ etc are more enjoyable to watch compared to Iowa State, Kansas, etc.

Pick any SEC venue and compare to any B12 venue - Lubbock, Manhattan, Lawrence, Waco, Stillwater... the armpits of flyover country. Road trips are back on the menu and I'm here for it.

Both my parents are from the Deep South where their ancestors lived for generations. This shite's in my blood. Despite the current shitshow, I feel like we are where we belong.

I'm also slightly jealous due to being new in a conference full of historic rivalries, classic games, bad blood, etc. The SEC is a whole 'nother level.

no …and it was the best conference in early 2000s. Timing of our transition to sec was bad timing with qbs and coaching change . If Stoops was as still here we would be winning big like always .Think we have won 3 of 5 vs Bama .We made the playoffs last year … so basically one of two years was a success .

They've always done what Daddy Tex told them to do

They my be true but dont understand why people say Texas owns OU.

OU has historically better football and basketball than Texas. They also just won baseball. They have been much better with a quarter of Texas resources

we have dominated Texas since 2000. Basketball they have had our number but we have had more final fours . Baseball we won the title last year and that really pissed them off.

The Big 12 has only won 3 national championships in its existence. In the same time period, the SEC has won 16. The B1G and the ACC have also won more. These three conferences regularly outperform the Big 12 in the NFL draft as well.
