This is about right. Texas wins for resources, but Alabama still has that "thing" that makes it the elite job in the conference. Sark and Kiff would have both been happy to have that job given the chance.
And for all our historical success at OU, I think most people would consider it easier to build a championship program at LSU, Georgia or Alabama. That makes it a better job, and their recent titles bear that out. And Texas, simply because of the money and their in state talent base. We still depend on kids from Texas to make our program successful.

I can see why Alabama fans hold the Saban years so closely to their hearts. It was a magnificent run that will likely never happen again. Looking forward, however, isn't nearly as fun right now. There's a lot of trepidation in Tuscaloosa.
Everyone loves this lady. She's doing all the right things the right way, and she looks damn good doing it!
We did gassers with leg lifts. After one particularly bad loss, we did them for damn near an entire practice. Goal to goal ten times. Leg lifts. More gassers. Leg lifts. On a Monday. Parents were waiting for us in the parking lot with the their headlights on.
Teddy said Stone clearly looked like the best player on the field the other day. Can't wait to see him ruin some people.
Who wouldn't want to be coached by that guy? Such a major win for OU to have him with our TE group.
Look for Kyla Keffer to have another big season. Really a fine player.

The Corn has a pretty special program. The place is always packed. A lot of people think they are the dominant program, but they've only won 1 title in the past ten years. Same as Kentucky. Stanford has 3. Texas has 2.

It's a valid concern. Musk has reneged on a promise to build a wastewater facility in Memphis, but has announced more data centers are coming. Memphis was an easy target, because the city has almost no economic development and is in a fiscal hole. Desperate people, low utilities and a lot of water. Of course he picked Memphis.

This is a significant development. Not so much because it's going to create jobs (it won't), but because it perhaps signals the end of an era in the Delta. Cotton will never be "king" again.

Being a Memphis fan and a nearby resident, you should be a Cardinals fan. Are you on the LA bandwagon?
I don't think there are 8 teams better than us. We can beat every team ahead of us. People are always bearish on OU because we haven't won a title for over 25 years, past defensive woes, lack of a running game last year. There's always something holding back voters. I think all of that changes this year.

Definitely my favorite. The venue, the Texas State Fair, the bitterness of the rivalry. It goes back over 100 years and to things that had little to do with football including the Bridge War. It just seems to be the most culturally colorful of the rivalry games.

He played when guys would still stay out and drink all night before a game. Smoking in the locker rooms. Guys, like Jack Youngblood, played with broken legs. Those were the guys in my school years.
