LOL. Alabama gets embarassed by the Hoosiers and Texas is the first thing you think of.

Texas is missing some key contributers like Wisner and Muhammed. I don't know about Michigan, but certainly I wouldn't be surprised either way of the outcome.

I just want an injury free game for both teams and hopefully Sark gets to see what some of the replacements can do against a talented Big 10 team.

thought Texas was rich?

I get that there's a cap on the revenue sharing pool. That said it's troubling if Texas boosters keep their powder dry with NIL. We will know for sure when the transfers start. Texas needs to get an impact rb and at least 3-4 ol.

The SEC has figured things out and the viewership #s reflect it.

You're very accurate on that. I used to watch Big 12 games and now that has shifted almost entirely to SEC games naturally because my team is in the SEC. As a bonus, SEC games are actually more exciting week to week.
Could happen, but Chris Klieman isn't going anywhere this year, and Klein should wait for a decent job rather than taking the first one available. I think A&M is safe.
OP is trolling, but the serious answer is no one rational should "expect" to win the SEC in any given year. We do expect to be competitive more years than not. And losing more than your share of games to OU, A&M will put you on the hotseat.

our power back (CJ Baxter), the type of game it is shaping up to be doesn't mesh well Texas.

Time for Baby Rhino to prove he can be trusted in clutch situations. The script is written for him since Wisner can't take all the snaps.
The dude looks like an old school wrassler from 80s Georgia Championship Wrestling.
If Texas loses this game against Florida, they'll lose two more easily. The next two outings for the Longhorns will be the acid test of whether Texas makes the playoffs or not.

You can rank A&M over Texas Tech all you want, but in a head-to-head, Tech would spank.

Tech's defense looks good, but I still have to discount the Red Raiders until they play a good team. Their best win was against an imploding Utah.

Tech vs. A&M in the playoffs would sell some tickets.
About a third into the regular season, I think 2025 has been exciting with many competitive games already played. The SEC seems to be wide open and I would not be surprised if the conference champion ends up with two in-conference losses.

And horns need a P4 win.

That's really not saying a lot. Texas has only played 1 P4 team this season, a loss to #1 Ohio State. At Florida will be the second opportunity.

Watch Arch implode.

You probably need the [sarcasm] tag, surely.

I think Manning will be better than he was against UTEP but if he comes up shaky again, Sark needs to sit Arch for a few series to get him grounded. There are no gimmes in conference play, especially on the road. Matthew Caldwell is a capable backup.
Maybe put someone in at punt returner other than Niblett too. Too many non-catches or fair catches. Without looking it up, I would bet Texas has one of the lowest punt return averages in the nation.

Wouldn't be surprised if Napier, feeling the hot seat, pulls out all the stops.

That goes without saying. Of course this is a must win for Napier.

I have many doubts about the Texas offense being able to score consistently but they are getting back Wisner RB for this game and that should help. The defense has been playing well and I expect them to pick up the slack on the road as they did against Ohio State.

Just normal "interim coach" behavior...

He's certainly acting like he has the job. I dunno. I think Arkansas makes a run at someone else like Lashlee.

Vanderbilt-Alabama will be a treat.
State-A&M should have some fireworks.
Texas-Florida will tell us whether or not Texas fans can check out for the season.

I expect competitive play in all three games and would not be surprised if Vandy pulls off the upset.

We would have saved around $3M if we waited 4 more weeks. We have a bye this week then it would take the 3 straight losses.

$3M wasn’t worth waiting

That tells me Petrino isn't your admin's first target. Hmm... Lashlee is my guess.

You want him in Austin?

No. He's a bad fit for Texas. He's had contentious relationships with his administration and donors. No way Gundy could thrive in the political environment in Austin. If it were just about the X's and O's, perhaps, but the Texas job requires a coach, CEO, and politician all in one body.
Is that article what passes for sports journalism now? It's little more than clickbait.

And no I don't think Nico is worth $4 million, and I'd be shocked if Miami or anyone else pays him that much as the article speculates.
Notre Dame is not invincible. Maybe they play an off game, and Arkansas plays to a high level and gets some breaks.

Definitely wanting the Hogs to get a win for Sam Pittman.
