Usually on game week, opponents have convinced themselves a big upset is incoming. They usually reason that UGA is vastly overrated, offense is plodding -not explosive and the dawg defense just ain’t what it used to be.
Being an AARP age Dawg, I’m much more comfortable with upset talk vs OU fans counting themselves out mid-week.
Hoping Mateer doesn’t suddenly come alive but if you been around a while, you aren’t surprised by anything in the SEC.
That is usually when OU is the most dangerous. I remember the sugar bowl against Saban and Bama where we were double digit underdogs, with a lot of fans writing the game off as an L, and Trevor KNight just went off and we won 45-35.

This, I believe Kip Lewis is the only player on Oklahoma's list that was injured in a game. THe rest were injured in practice. Been an issue for years.

exactly, its not that we lost, it's how we lose. Defense held Michigan to 17 (10 if you dont count Mateer giving them the ball back on the OU 6) which should be plenty to beat them. Its the same old crap on offense again. Abandon the running game (Avant was averaging 4 yards a carry) and nit just miss wide open receivers over the middle, but not even see them and throw to Satenga in double coverage.
This year is the same as last year on offense , other than Witten getting our Tight Ends to actually play the game.

Instead of scholarships, they players need to be contracted to play for the university where there should be a clause that states "if you sign with a NFL team, you hereby forfeit any remaining years of eligibility."
