UGA hasn't beaten Bama (the standard) in a regular season game since 2007.
OU has never lost to Bama in an SEC regular season game and leads the all time series against the Tide.

We went to the playoffs last year and so did Oklahoma. We got a top 4 seed so we made it further than them. We have won two more recent nattys than them and we are the two time defending SEC champions.

You're right, I forgot UGA went to the playoffs last year, as it was such an uninspiring performance. You and OU won the same number of games in the playoffs though, IIRC?

You forgot that UGA went to the CFP because your football season ended like 6 weeks earlier. Your hogs were trying to chase down a sweet sixteen appearance at that time or whatever you guys consider the pinnacle of your success these days.

OU used to measure success in NCs, never going too long between them.
It’s been 25 years now, 23 of those in the Big 12. An historic drought by their standards. I’m not sure the SEC is their problem but as with everyone else there aren’t a lot of layups.

The SEC checks cash nicely. Staying in the Big 12 was untenable for both OU and Texas. We only have to see the high ratings playing SEC teams have garnered our conference games.
OU will rebound sooner (lol) or later. I think their woes are just rooted in coaching and player evaluation and this shall pass.
Just to keep it real, yes I do enjoy their current Mateer misery.

I don't see that happening. I believe the SEC would expand into NC or VA to expand its TV footprint.
