Recruiting is going well. Made good hires. We shall see.

Sounds like a good philosophy to me.

Seems like the majority of UF fans really like him. He did great this offseason and in recruiting so far, but the games will tell the story.
Definitely not a Napier 2.0 feel.

Has won everywhere, was as good of a hire as any probably.

Did Napier not do the same goofy sayings, program philosophy, and "my way or the highway" approach that turned off the players?

I watched his mic'up edition. He starts out sounding like a Scott Cochran wanna be hype coach and the he goes Ed O. Ya-Ya FOOTBALL.

"Agent Sumrall is in position."

This is a huge reach.
He said he expects big things, expects to win when they take the field….
What do you want a coach to say?
“Well, I’ll be satisfied with anything over .500 in my first year”…?

Yes very odd. Not totally normal like Kiffin, Kelly, Orgeron or Miles.

He's a likeable guy and his players like him. He's a pretty good football coach.
I thought it was a pretty solid for Florida. To me he will just need to nail whoever is running the offense for him.

I don't think he sounded like Cochran or Ed o
He sounds like a great teacher and was working with all position groups including special teams
I'd be happy if I was florida. He should at least have florida in most games.

If I were a UF fan I'd be afraid that he'll turn out like the last mid-major over-achiever they hired. I'd feel snakebit.
but just looking from the outside in, he seems like a good coach, and seeing as how recruiting is going well, its seems like there's cause for a little bit of optimism.

I like him....hope he does well. I expect very little next year, we def need a rebuild. We will see, seems like he has the right type of personality though.

In 10 years LSU fans will still be talking about their last national championship, courtesy of Coach Ya-Ya in 2019. You should pay him more respect.

And you'll still be bragging about yours in 2020.

I like him. I hope he does well. He's not like Napier at all. I would describe him as something between Meyer and Muschamp. He doesn't give the impression that he will be like McElwain/Napier and just say "Aw shucks! At least we tried" after losses. He's certainly committed.
He's also the first coach since Meyer that looks like he could end up screwing a few people's wives, if he wanted to, before his tenure is up. It is an energy that hasn't been around the football program in quite a while. The previous three Florida coaches all looked like they got bullied in school.
