The same could be said for you with the way you had McMahon’s McBalls in your McMouth for four years straight.

I’m not crazy about sumrall but if there was ever a Napier 2.0 it was Matt McMahon, the basketball version of Billy Gaypier (known for their hair cuts, decent recruiter but terrible game day coaches, always found ways to lose games, nice guy with cult like followings of McMen/Napier Bots who defended them no matter what)

The season will be the only test that matters. However, it’s hard not to like the guy. He seems pretty transparent and doesn't do a lot of the coach speak bull crap that the last few coaches we’ve had loved to do. High energy and recruiting is going very well so there isnt a lot to complain about right now.

Gator fans arent expecting too much year 1. I just looking for a competently coached football team followed by a great ‘27 class. Then ramp it up in year 2.

Way different from Napier.

Napier was a “process” guy who cared more about being everyone’s friend and creating “life champions” than actual results on the field.

Sumrall seems like a cutthroat “win at all cost” kind of guy. He seems like the kind of guy who might recruit some players with borderline character concerns, bend the rules to their extreme limit, or go a little light on disciplinary action if it helps him add another win or two.

Who knows if the results will be any different. But history has shown that this method works better than the Napier rah rah stuff.

I felt the same way while Napier was coaching. I like the new coach. I was pissed we lost out on Kiiffin for about one day. Then I started listening to Sumrall. I wouldn't trade for Kiffin now straight up.

I think Kiffin will do a great job at LSU, but I also think Sumrall will do a great job at UF. It sucks that we don't play every year anymore, because I think with UF losing out on Kiffin and hiring Sumrall from Tulane, it will spice the rivalry up nicely.

I think we all need someone odd or goofy after dull arse Napier. I think I have seen more emotion from Joe Biden honestly.

Well not really. The schedules probably got tougher, it is just the loss of annual traditional rivalries.

I want to believe but simply
Can’t until I see it on the field.

We better hope Westphal can get over his injury and is able to take that LT spot. Unless the transfer from Stanford makes huge gains before the season he is going to get abused in SEC play. I think we arent too bad in most other positions.

It’s the same generic coach speak that everyone jacks off to in the offseason.

I can’t really imagine following this shite once the season concludes, my hat is off to those of you that can retain interest in the 8 month breaks
