I was thinking this game also. Not to mention, we would have been in the National Championship vs Miami had we won the game. Probably gotten beat but you are there and you have a chance.

Some of these are spot on. Osu 31-0 I don’t understand the reference, think it maybe Clem in playoff but I bet uga in the playoff a few years ago hurt more. Fsu has to be the sugar bowl against Florida. I’m assuming the 63-3 was the uga beating. I don’t know a single fsu fan that was devastated by the result of the uga game, they knew they were toast. Qb was injured and half the team quit when they found out they weren’t in playoffs. 96 fsu thought they were beating Florida and collecting a natty but got whooped and watched one of their most hated rivals steal their crown.

That was Miles' first game to coach in Death Valley. I knew he had little idea what it was going to be like when he started the game wearing a headset with only one earpiece. If I recall correctly, we were up 21-0 at the half. I was ready to kill him by the end of the 3rd qtr.

For me, the most inexplicable loss for FSU was the 2000 Championship game vs. Oklahoma
The defense did their job and held OU to 13 points. How did the offense completely crap the bed? With Weinke at QB? I know Mark Richt was on his way out to Georgia, but damn...did they even put together an offensive gameplan?
I know OU had a great defense, but FSU only had to score 2 TDs. I'll always be mystified by this game

I'll still never understand how we got blownout by Florida in 2014 with Muschamp as a lame duck coach. Their QB couldn't throw the ball a lick. We looked like we were clearly heading to ATL for SECCG.They ran for like 400 plus yards and their offense was total crap the whole year.
Couple weeks later we blew out Auburn running the Malzahn offense with Nick Marshall that Saban and Bama couldn't stop, just outscored. Think they only scored one TD the whole game.

Our loss to Florida when Bunchy got called for a bullshite hold. We still had our losing streak going against them. I felt sickness to my stomach after that loss.

Colorado 1990. 5 goddamn downs and the sonofabitch never crossed the line. Then the conference played cya trying to get Colorado the championship.

This was completely explainable. It wasn't just the 4th and 25, it was the downs leading up to 4th and 25. Nothing was going right, it'd be 3rd and 8, we'd have him wrapped up in the backfield, someone slips on a banana peel, first down. 4th and 5, offsides. I knew it was predestined at one point, that I turned it off. I didn't even witness the 4th and 25 because I knew the outcome already. It might as well have been 4th and 50, it wouldn't have mattered. I absolutely disintegrated in my driveway, we're so fricking predictable.
