Interesting story, word on the street was Quincy Carter was caught snorting coke before the game and nothing happened. Another WR had been suspended 6 games for the same thing. His dad had some influence at UGA and told Donnan that either your suspend Carter or I'm going to the president. Donna ignored him so he ratted out Carter and Donnan. That's what eventually led to him getting fired.

This goes back a ways but Alabama's 17-0 loss in the second-to-last game of the season to Centre College in 1924 is without question one of the biggest head scratchers in program history. It was our only loss, we won the Southern Conference for the first time ever that season, and we wouldn't lose again until 1927.

Two most shocking for Ole Miss I can think of:
Kentucky 2024 - UK's only SEC win against a team with a number of NFL picks on both sides of the ball. Probably the most talented Ole Miss team top to bottom this century and they laid two absolute eggs but UK was the worst.
Memphis 2015: This is the team that was a 4th and 25 away from winning the West. Ole Miss jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead and then Memphis proceeded to completely blow Ole Miss out. It was like the two teams simply switched jerseys. This team had 3 first round picks on it.
Jacksonville State was shocking at the time but in retrospect, not that shocking as that was not a good Ole Miss team. Both of the above teams were good teams.

That LSU/Tennessee game has aged better for LSU, but in the immediate aftermath I think we were more pissed off than Tennessee fans

Right, when it happened, Sept 2000, it was a weird fluke. But as the season went on, SC was pretty good. UGA was pretty similar. I'm just saying, in the totality of the season and how it played out, it wasn't that strange. 2019 UGA/SC was weird and stupid. I'll give you that one all day long.

I went to Norman for the game and was dumbfounded about how quickly OU fell apart. SC got up 21-0 in what seemed like 5 minutes. It was shocking.

Losing to Spurrier was never a shock. Suffering our only loss to an 8-5 Ron Zook team was definitely shocking.

We beat Troy 56-0 and 59-31
So..we did not lose to Troy
The worst loss was prob the USF loss. That was beyond terrible.

Yep for half of football plus Overtime the 2005 Tennessee football team lived up to preseason expectations. The rest of the year was agony

Easy. The loss to NC State after giving up 3 blocked punts. How hard was it to get the punter some extra protection or at the very least start his position another extra 3 yards back to get more time?

Auburn to TAMU in 2014. 2013 season into that game of 2014, Auburn was on an absolute tear.
