Most inexplicable loss for your program?

This could range from blowouts, looking at you Texas (66-3 at home against UCLA) and Texas A&M (77-0 against OU) or losses like LSU suffered to Troy, or Bama losing to Louisiana Tech for the second time in 3 years en route to a 10-3 record.
Tennessee losing to Wyoming. Florida losing to Georgia Southern.
Some great candidates.

Nothing will top Georgia Southern for us.
They completed zero passes.

2017 Iowa and 2018 Purdue.
Got destroyed both games and still have no idea what happened.

Probably Jim Donnan's first game against Southern Miss in 1996 or giving South Carolina' their first SEC win in a couple years in 2000.

That was actually good vol squad with a future nfl HoF qb
It wasn’t a Pruitt or Butch squad

2014, Troy lost to Abiline Christian 35-38. This loss cost Legend Larry Blakeney his job. It did lead to Neal Brown and later Jon Sumrall, so a loss may be just what you need sometimes.

Yall had some good blocking in that game even though the guys were on the same team that were blocking each other.

That Rose Bowl vs. USC for the BCS Championship. Not to take away from that USC team but we got blown the frick out. Dropping punts, an otherwise rock solid Heisman-winning QB in Jason White going full retard for 3 picks, and a healthy Adrian Peterson getting bottled up for the entire game. The entire team just shite their pants.

The 2019 loss to South Carolina or 2002 Florida.

Recency bias but losing 10-3 to Kentucky last year. 3 fricking points.
Bye bye Freeze.
Bye bye Freeze.

Ole Miss losing to Kentucky in 2024 because Lane spent all week stalking his daughter's aged ex by flying out to Texas during game week.

2014 Florida
That was a mediocre Florida team and a really, really good Georgia team. Nick Chubb broke off a 40 yard TD run early in that game, and Florida steamrolled them from there. I think that's the only time in program history Georgia has ever allowed 400+ rushing yards in one game, and happened against a terrible Florida offense who had absolutely no threat of a passing game.
