They really ought to steal Missouri's head coach. I think he has learned from this years mistakes and is ready to take off at this level.
Are we certain his game will translate to the SEC? Most of his highlights I saw were back to the basket posting up and backing in lunch pail carrying kids. at 6-8ish and not overly explosive vertical that part of his game will not fly against the size and athleticism in the SEC. Does he have more to his game that will translate?

small sample size. really can't evaluate thoroughly until they reach about 100 at bats. having 10ks out of the 15 at bats is the biggest concern. If he was making solid contact just right at people and had 2 strikeouts then no problem

heard the following:

-working in Holliday at DE
-Shep will throw a pass this year
-Transfer from Florida is a real high motor kid that brings his lunch pail everyday.

All I have heard so far.

re: 20-10 in SEC play…

That’s my goal every year as that is a very successful season. Anything beyond that is a bonus. As tough as the SEC is that would be a great year and we would be ready to make a run
With a talented team I always hope for 20-10 or better. U can drop a series or two against really good teams on the road but then take care of business against weaker teams to bring it to an average of a series win for each series. Just can’t get swept and can’t lose more than 2 series to make this happen

I’ve always wondered. How do u get recruited to this level as a guard and not be able to shoot? Surely in high school these guys were high scorers. Seems like we get a bunch that can’t shoot. I’ve known guys that just played like NAIA level and if they were open they could shoot the lights out. Our guys are throwing up bricks consistently

When is Caleb Downs coming?

Any word yet on what day he enrolls in school?
They have 5 days to request entry into the portal. sometimes it takes a few days from submitting request to actually showing up in the portal. You have to submit the request within 5 days.

re: MM compared to Brady

One year Brady had one of the most impressive years coaching I have seen. Record was rough but due to lack of scholarships and injuries we were down to like 5 scholarship players. He held them guys together and they fought like dawgs game after game and it seemed like every game we were in it until the last five minutes when our lack of depth just wore out. Was very impressed with how he kept that team focused and battling the whole year knowing he was outmanned every game.
probably checking the status of the new Billy's location. It's not far from BR. the recruit can be without him for a few hours while hanging with players or other coaches etc.
Let me text him and see. Oh wait he doesn’t have thumbs to respond..nevermind
If he left Oxford early that could be a good sign. Not sure how long he was supposed to be there. At least they didn’t lock him in where he didn’t come though. That’s positive. Would be a huge get
Doubtful someone is his position swallows his pride and does that. Who knows if it’s even the right move for the long haul too? Wade definitely has the personality and the heck with the NCAA attitude to bring some excitement and an us vs the world chip on the shoulder of the program. Would probably bring in better talent too. Like I said don’t know if he can take us to the level we want to be with how good the SEC is right now but would revitalize the energy and excitement for a little bit to get it in the right direction as far as excitement around the program and talent. But would WW even want to come back is the question nobody knows the answer to. If not then we are talking about something that can never happen anyway
yet, you check in on them and cared enough to make this pointless post....interesting.

Turnovers, poor shooting with long scoring droughts….rinse and repeat. Not gonna work in this league
I really think he will do like last year up until conference play and rotate about 4 to 5 of them where they all get a lot of reps in the field and at the plate and sit like every 4th or 5th game and then settles into 3 or 4 of them once conference play starts
From what we have added so far and assuming we add at least one quality safety, will we have the pieces in place to effectively stop a running QB next year?
