Gotta disagree. Even though they should’ve fired him earlier this season. If I compare it to Stoops progression at UK, Moorhead was regressing. And had lost that team.

Sounds like at the Presser MSU don't even have a coach landed yet.. This is will be a big shitshow mark it down..

There's absolutely nothing dumb about it. Ole Miss made a recognizable hire who has success under his belt now and MSU was trending down under Moorhead. It might not be THE only reason but it certainly could have been the straw to break the camel's back.
This has turned into theories by junior high girls.

Look we get it, you dont want what Ole Miss does to be any reason MSU does anything, but to any plain observer the moves Ole Miss made were very impactful on speeding up the exit of moorhead at MSU. It seems highly highly doubtful Moorhead is out right now with Luke still at Ole Miss. You generally dont just fire a coach after 2 seasons who did at least somewhat decent. Morris is a different story winning 4 games in 2 years. Moorhead still got state to 2 bowl games which is about what you would expect from state's average years really.
With Luke still at OM he probably gets 1 more year to right the ship if he can. The fact is with no real momentum and Ole Miss across the state gaining a ton of it, a move was kind of forced ahead of schedule.

I'm curious if State will release all the recruits from their LOI's.
We've seen in past where when certain position coaches get pulled after a kid signs, that it pretty much gives them a free pass to leave. I want to say same thing happened just recently, although I can't recall the team.
Pretty bad form to wait until after signing day and then fire the head coach.

Ole Piss always trying to rain on State’s parade

They forgot what they were before Mullen and expect every coach they get from now on to live up to their best coach ever. Hard precedent to set. I mean Mullen set the bar to high

Well, the straw that broke the camels back didn't happen until after the early signing period, so there is some just cause there. Not sure how that will be handled.

This is gonna be a disaster. They have 21 signed letters of intent and I’m guessing they will all have the option of signing with another school in the late signing period. Kiffin and Pittman finna eat.

State would if they requested it. But most of the top guys have already issued a statement stating that they’re still on board.

4th or 5th place in the West 8 of 9 years is such a high bar

They will hold them. All of the bigger names have already stated they are sticking with State.
Sorry for your loss.

LOL! Oh you have a whole website/messageboard dedicated to stupidity. And we all know it.

Dean can pick up the phone and call whomever he pleases. That is how it works. Do you not remember Chris Jones talking to Hugh Freeze regularly even while playing at state? We all know it was about reminiscing about lap dances but a player can do as he chooses.
whether that is happening is a different story

I’m serious when I say that your thread is the lone proof I have that Miss St made the right move
