That'd be something if a guy who started one season then sat out a year still went ahead of a receiver who set multiple records and won the Heisman.

It would set a terrible precedent. I already fear that future first rounders will sit out their junior year or quit mid-year after a couple of losses.

That would be something to see that receiver torch Stingley for 400+ yards in only two games.

Wonder why.

I agree.

Would be better for college football if Chase dropped like a rock.

So your sick burn is that a guy who chose not to play for LSU is going to be drafted before another guy who chose not to play for LSU.

That really hurts.

Shame LSU opted out of this year.

But you can brow beat one player being projected above bananas 3-4 first round picks.

I’ll never understand why LSU fans spend so much time and effort into trying to convince anyone that’ll listen they’re better than Bama.

I’ll give you a hint though. Nobody is better than Bama.

This type of thread shows the shallowness of lsu fans, so insecure.

Hope they all go as high as possible in the draft... life changing money for these kids of all teams but I am kinda partial to the kid who didn’t let his team down and actually PLAYED

Good for Chase. Both he and Smith are about to get paid so it's no consequence where they go in the first round. Also...I don't really care anymore since Smith no longer plays for Alabama. I wish him good luck in his future endeavors but I'm much more concerned about the wide receivers left behind than what a FORMER player does with his future.

My only issue with Ja'Marr Chase going so high is that it sets a dangerous precedent for the sport. If a redshirt freshman or true sophomore has an explosive season, they can merely sit out their final year of eligibility and prepare themselves for the draft without worrying about dropping. I don't like that.

And none of them good enough to lead their team to a Super Bowl.
