I have been thru both Hurricanes and Flooding.
Even though right now it is overwhelming but you have to keep fighting. Stay focused on what is important and don't make any rash moves.
Pray about everything and focus on the things that you can change and not on the things you have no control over.

I bought a Samsung that did this and come to find out that it was ice buildup that they knew was a continuous problem but didnt fix it. It got to the point that I just got rid of it and bought a new one.
I would try the defrosting thing first as that is what I had to do with the crappy Samsung.
