I just pray that somehow we Gumps will get through this dark, dark time.

Lsu...some real strong nfl supports atm. When their nfl players start sucking they'll always have city league sports.

Baw did you see what that 8 year old did in pee wee ball? Gumps ain't got nothing on him.

Louisiana people are easy going and not the type to rage behind the keyboard. Bama people could learn a lesson. You don’t need validation of your accomplishments from other fanbases to be successful.

Yeah, because no Alabama player has been to the Super Bowl recently.

I was not aware that both Mahomes and the GOAT, Tampa Brady, had played at LSU. They were the only ones to lead their teams to the Super Bowl (although the clear best defensive players on the field for each side all year were former Tigers)

I don’t see Devin White sucking any time soon. Looking like a Hall of Famer out there.

Hightower what a puss. Scared of the Covid.

I hope that is irony.

Devin White carried that defense through the playoffs. Brady threw three picks vs Green Bay.

Nah Chase made a smart business decision. Hightower was scared or needed a break.

This is a weird thing to flex about. How many QB's were taken before Brady in the NFL draft? Mahomes? The more important discussion is who will have a better NFL career. Right now, I'd lean towards the guy who stuck with his team and won the highest honors he could as a receiver.

Then I guess a lot of LSU players fall into that same category, too.

Yes he does! Man played a hell of a game!

He reminds me of what linebackers use to play like.

McShay has 5 1st rders for Bama. 5 1st rders after losing 4 last year is insane.

Some truth there. I think he wanted a new contract going into the final year of his current one at age 30.

He pocketed 150k for doing nothing this year, got some rest and another off-season to renegotiate. Personally, with his age and the Pats looking to re-arm and rebuild. I won't be surprised to see Hightower traded this off-season for a ~2nd round pick from someone. Pats will have 15th overall pick, and 1 each in 2nd and 3rd round.

So, his sitting out seems to have helped his personal value and maybe what his team can get for him. A win-win opt out, afterall. Almost selfless on his part by saving the Pats the last 8 mill on his contract in a year that would have played out the same with or without him.
