n fact he took a RB/WR/Safety and turned him into a record setting passer at Bama

Nothing against Blake Sims, but it definitely helped having Amari Cooper to throw to that year in terms of setting those records.

but he does throw some shade on the program by saying basically they didn't have the dudes at QB these other schools had and I knew that.

Well he’s not wrong, but Luke was fired from Ole miss for a reason. I’m sure Corral would also tell you how much he benefitted playing under kiffin.

It also helped that Simms was recruited as a QB and he switched to RB while at Alabama then back to QB. He was a 4 star QB recruit IIRC.

That poor guy had no coaching until Kiffin got there. I am glad he stuck it out and didn't transfer like most QBs do these days.

Meh.

Kid went to his fallback school.

Welcome to the modern college application process, athlete or not.

I think he should be very grateful that he made the NFL. He threw 11 int in 2 games.

He did get beat out by a RB playing QB in Plumlee which kinda makes the quote look even sillier.

Kind of feels like his point is more about choosing what he thought was the easy way out because of competition than wishing he hadn't gone to Ole Miss like the headline says, IMHO.

Sounds to me like its not Ole Miss its that he doesn't think Kiffin used him the way he wanted.

Sounds like he was trying to make himself sound better. Sounds like he wanted to say he could’ve won a true QB competition but he “settled” for a guaranteed starting spot at ole miss once Kiffin got there. I think this is typical click bate headline making

So the inference one would properly draw from his comment is that Ole Miss and Kiffin failed to make him “complete” as he believes would have occurred elsewhere. Not something to say when he likely maximized his talent at Ole Miss and had the opportunity to play on a NY 6 bowl game. Showing his lack of maturity and intelligence, I’m afraid. Not a good look.

He’s being dramatic. Take a professional snap or two if you’re good enough and shut up.

Well that was uncalled for. Way to flush all the goodwill you had from your fans.

But 2021 LSU might have won the West with Corral.

I think he was trying to say that he welcomed the challenge of competition with Mayfield, and just failed miserably in his attempt.

This is really vague and needs some more context.
