Or Quinn in Tuscaloosa a couple years back. Good times.
I agree. He certainly showed poise in last year’s sec championship game v Texas when Beck got knocked out of the game. Had his head almost taken off near the end of that game and held on to the ball. I admire that. Hope we get to him better this year.
Results so far in sec look great for Texas. I like this conference. We win most of the games and the only response is to denigrate the quality of the opposition (the sec). Good times.
Yes. I agree on both points. Can’t read too much into one game. I saw a kid who got thrown into a difficult situation but also saw some seriously good throws v a superb defense. Game v A&M will be competitive and close. Glad it’s in Austin.
Not too much to discuss. Delusional take and you obviously didn’t watch the Texas/Ohio St game. Don’t get your feelings hurt when Texas makes a serious run for the third season in a row.

Good win. Hat tip. And good for the rest of the SEC if LSU buys in to the thought that they are unbeatable. The winner will have a loss or two.
Nah - good coaching and recruiting did. It I won’t deny Ala’s stacking talent for a few years was a successful cycle. Back to Dubois, Shula level program. Happens.
Arch will be fine. Those who watched the game saw flashes of talent, including a couple of NFL-quality completions - against one of the best defenses in the country. People love to slam him because of his name. My hunch is he gets that and will keep grinding to prove his critics wrong. This experience will make him better.

UT grad here. I’ve spent time in 30A every year for 30 years. Have seen a lot of Longhorn fans. Not sure I’ve ever met one who didn’t actually go to UT. But I understand the desire of t shirt fans to be associated with UT.
Longhorn here. I agree with some of what you say. The best of Texas was built on the grit and courage of people who came from East of the Mississippi River. And the Rice comment by Mt V is just misguided. I loved having Rice in the SWC just as having Vandy in the SEC is a complete positive. Given the usual anti-Texas that usually appear on this board I’m just surprised there aren’t more folks saying they’d hate to be a fan of Texas. Regardless, I’d tell them it’s good to be a Longhorn and always will be.

re: Tony V > Schloss

Tony V is an excellent coach. Schloss may have done more with less this year. Really doesn’t matter. I’ll leave that to those with more time on their hands.

Great game though. Congrats on the win.

On to regionals. Hope we clean things up and make a run to the CWS and get another shot at Tenn.

Hook ‘em!
Assume you aren’t including Texas pre-SEC.
True. Difficult to acknowledge but just true.
Yes. 5 star safety. And solid person and baseball player. Will likely play at next level whichever sport he chooses.
Haha -true. But warranted here. And I strongly suspect Schloss had a word w him based on his change for rest of series, as was appropriate.
He is a freshman, albeit an extremely talented and competitive one. Give him some grace. I noted that he settled down for the rest of the series
Texas has always been competitive with the SEC, but was down in the 2010s which some misleadingly use as the “body of evidence”. And even when down we had a Sugar Bowl win over UGA and a very competitive game with LSU’s best team ever (with Burrow).

Regardless we are thankful to be in the SEC and for having some success thus far. It has been the best conference in recent years and we needed to be a part of it going forward. Great competition, tv coverage and game atmospheres.

And Arkie just got run-ruled on a walk-off strike out to lose the first two v LSU. Hmmm.

Solid coach. Was pitching coach under Augie at UT. Not sure he would leave OU but would be great for MSU if they could convince him to move.

Live in the present. Horns up! Good to be a Longhorn.
