You don't know how many times I have heard them say "iT tAkEs An AcT oF cOnGrEsS tO dEmOtE mE"

Their cult ego (ESPECIALLY Navy Chiefs, even more so than other branches) is pure delusion and is a detriment to our fighting forces.

We used to joke that if POTUS removed the E7-E9 rank from the Navy, we'd operate better and have better NCO leadership. There's some truth to that.

With that being said, one of my CMC's was great, and totally mission focused. He was an FMF corpsman his whole career with the 1st Marine division. All the others were essentially big Navy bureaucrats.
