Corral will flame out in the NFL. He's a weak, broke dick player that will wash out in the NFL. I was a fat player that ran a 4.8 40 in HS. I'm in much better shape now but I can't play football. No way I could play safety.
WTF!!!
It's a little early for the peyote, don't you think?

I wouldn't blame the guy for wanting to leave a coach who benched him for John Rhys Plumlee either

Matt Corral 2019 wasn't playing at the same level he was last season. Plumlee looked good in some games that Corral didn't and vice versa. Neither solidified the starting position that season. I'm actually a bit shocked that he didn't pan out. The kid is an athlete.

I think he is realizing that NFL is tougher, and wishes he'd been better prepared for the level of competition. Everything we handed to him at Ole Miss to an extent. He has to find it in himself to rise to the challenge

Hard to say everything was handed to him. He sat behind Ta’amu for a while and was about to transfer because he lost his job due to injury. If Matt Luke is retained, Corral leaves Ole Miss with like 3 career starts.

Instead we hired Lane and he stuck around and worked his arse off and won his job back.

It was a stupid headline.

I mean he felt compelled enough to play in a “meaningless” Sugar Bowl despite having some 1st Round projections

This. He showed up and played for his team, and that says a lot.

it’s still not a good quote at all to be out there.

It sure is funny to read on multiple levels though

Yes, that great coaching, guidance, and development from Matt Luke was handed to him on a silver platter.

I think what he was trying to say was he wish Ole Miss had a better QB room because he was clearly the most talented one the day he stepped on campus and it was never really close, even though he still sat on the bench for a year and then nearly lost his job to an inferior QB the next year.

I'm wondering who he thinks would have made him a better quarterback than Lane Kiffin?

You have to remember he committed to the previous coach, not Lane Kiffin and lost his job in 2019 to John Rys Plumlee.

Lane Kiffin saved his career that was almost ruined because he tried to take the easy way out.

I think he definitely loved playing for Ole Miss under Kiffin and that is proven by him playing a meaningless bowl game because he didn't want to leave his teammates hanging.
