A lot of GPA fans, I mean LSU fans were really digging it in the moment. It seems unlikely to age very well.

Yeah, now that they've all been universally laughed at for T-Bob's pathetic rant and their applauding of it, they're trying to backtrack and say it was just him trolling. Riiiiiight.

Exactly. Winning is most certainly everything to us and anyone who is a fan of major college sports and says otherwise is kidding themselves. We at least have no shame in admitting what we want.

Has he started talking about his Marvel Comic Characters yet?

LSU fans literally want to fire a coach who gave them a 15-0 national championship less than 365 days ago. I have no issues with that, but as previously noted, that is who we are and we are just fine with it. A fanbase that is supposedly about more than winning and is about culture and community and other things would generally not be that way. They'd respect what that coach, a son of the state, did for them and would give him time to correct his flaws. Because, there is something more to their relationship than just "football".
But what do I know!

The T-Bob Hebert interview with Tuscaloosa, I mean Landrum Roberts, Cole Cubelic, and Pat Smith is now up.
T-Bob Hebert talks LSU, Alabama, Auburn, and fanbases

That's all fine and well until you are staring a 3 win season in face.

I got much more of a kick out of the reaction to it from most LSU fans. You’d think it was the best speech they’d ever heard. I guess we all look for solace in strange places when grieving. They ate it up like hot courtbouillon, and their reaction less than 48 hours later would tell you that those same fans praising him don’t agree with even a fraction of what he said. They want sustained success, not some contrived bull shite about ups and downs being okay because it’s a more artistic approach. If that’s what they yearned for then they’d be perfectly content with Ed, not calling for his head
I bet they had tears in their eyes when he was spouting off.

Is it safe to cold smoke nutria?
If on the other hand you meant cooked ... this doesn't look so bad if you've had rabbit or squirrel

oh yeah. I meant cooked but apparently the stupid autocorrect on my phone didn't agree.
I will have to take your word for it. No offense intended

It was a small rallying point that made them feel a little better about the 55-17 arse kicking they just witnessed. “Yea, that’s right. We’re LSU. We may have lost but we’re still more special.”
Then the booze wore off and they started to realize how asinine that entire premise is. Every fanbase thinks theirs is special. At the end of the day we all want to win though. There is no trophy for believing you have a unique football history relative to your opponents. There is no fan that prefers winning every once in a while to winning all the time, and that was the theme of his entire drunken soliloquy

It was some David Housel-tier delusion, just without the overt creepy cultism.

LOL He basically said it was a drunk rant and if you are going to argue with a bama fan after that kind of loss, where else do you go. I kind of enjoy his style after listening to that, he doesn't seem to take himself too seriously.
The poster that called it the Gettysburg Address of LSU may have taken it a little too much to heart

T-Bob called Auburn Serbia. He has redeemed himself.
"Not Croatia. Probably a little too beautiful."
