Of course he's melting. His team is art and culture that connects with the fanbase on a personal level. So he truly hurts when his team struggles. You wouldnt understand

I laughed. Just tuned in. Can’t wait

Cant tell if all yall are serious thinking T-Bob was melting? Was a hilarious, entertaining rant. Are yall just plying along calling his rant a melt, or do you seriously not get it?

that redneck dork is more familiar with Old Milwaukee and cajun cooled nutria than he is with art and culture.

He spewed a bunch of nonsense that amounted to him saying I’d rather support a program that has ups and downs than one that stays at the top. It was mental gymnastics of the highest order and is complete bullshite to anyone that follows any sport. He was pissed that a Bama fan called in to rub it in and his response was pure nonsensical fiction that he doesn’t even believe himself.
It’s like a guy that won $10k on a scratch off one time saying he’d prefer that to being Jeff Bezos because he’ll remember he high of that winning 10k ticket for the rest of his life, and Bezos doesn’t appreciate his wealth because he rakes in millions daily. The last part is true, the part about preferring the scratch off is not

I mean he said LSU trancends time, and equated it to Greece and Paris and art - that is a near psychotic level rant that sounds like someone on a massive XTC roll.

Bama fans mad because they are Soviet Union and we are Greece and Paris.

Comrade Saban has a nice ring to it.

Exactly, it was a hilarious troll that I would think people on this board would appreciate.

The Eastern Bloc of Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas - all with puppet governments subservient to the Motherland.
Making more sense, honestly.

Except it wasn't a troll. He was being serious because, like his fellow LSU fans and alums, he has a low football IQ.

Yea, it 100% was not a troll. He was very serious.
And that's fine, but it's also fine to laugh at it.

i didn't really think it came off that way but :: dunno ::
If you didn't notice the Tiger Rant thread while perusing the anarchy over there - check it out. It was called the "Gettysburg Address for LSU" at one point. Doesn't seem like a "lol epic troll" reaction, more akin to a "YAAAAASSSSS KING, frickING SLAY!"

After Saban left: “They’ll never win again.”
After Les Won championship “with Sabans talent”: “they’ll never win again.
After Les made championship with his talent but lost 21-0:
“they’ll never win again”
After hiring one of the worse Ole Miss coaches of all time: “Decline, they’ll never win again.”
I think that’s the point he’s making by transcends time. We will recover because we have elite in-state talent, budget as large as anyone, a chamionship name brand, and the expectation to do so.
You don’t know T-Bob if you don’t know his metaphors are usually something of historical or nerd culture. That’s just who he his.

I got much more of a kick out of the reaction to it from most LSU fans. You’d think it was the best speech they’d ever heard. I guess we all look for solace in strange places when grieving. They ate it up like hot courtbouillon, and their reaction less than 48 hours later would tell you that those same fans praising him don’t agree with even a fraction of what he said. They want sustained success, not some contrived bullshite about ups and downs being okay because it’s a more artistic approach. If that’s what they yearned for then they’d be perfectly content with Ed, not calling for his head

Don't flatter yourselves. There wasn't a single Alabama fan who cared about LSU after Saban left in 2004.

Incorrect. We said that Les won with Saban's recruits and that he wouldn't win another one. We were correct.

We never said LSU wouldn't win again. We simply said you're in decline. After 2020...we're looking pretty good right now.

That's why it was so funny. Like I said, other school's want to pretend they aren't as Spartan and winning means everything as Alabama. They laugh at us for openly being that way and not hiding it. But when push comes to shove, they all shove aside their "culture" and "family" stuff to the side when their team falls in a pit of despair and demand people are fired so they can get back to winning. We just don't pussyfoot around it. We are who we are.
It's just hilarious that it all happened literally less than 48 hours after that little speech and all the LSU folks wanting to put it on a plaque outside Tiger Stadium.
