Yeah as a fan it's great. Would absolutely suck to be awful at everything but football, 3 months a year and then have nothing to watch or root for the other 9 months would be so boring. Especially if you're not a title contender.

What is this "football" you speak of? Is this a game like basketball.. except you use your feet?

somebody said it's a game where you "use your feet like in basketball" as you're "blocking a defensive back" ???

it's crazy talk

You guys neutered your program. You guys hired a coach with zero HC experience thinking he’d be able to win in the SEC.

I’m sure if you gave most of these coaches your players, they’d manage the team a hell of a lot better, but go ahead and blame big brother for your shortfalls.

John L. Smith, Bert, Chaggie, and Pittman - we've already imploded our football program. We're just picking up the pieces now.

Schloss literally tried to recruit our team to Austin in the background during a championship run throughout the Regionals and Omaha. Some of the team leaders confronted him about it before the championship game. He snuck out of town like a rat in the middle of the night as soon as the buses got back to the school, and was announced at Texas the following morning. We should have hired differently but were trying to keep the young core of the team together. Every team out there was coming after our roster.

Coincidentally none of the players but some high school recruits that had never played for him before followed the a-hole.

The way he handled the situation was piss poor and is the reason he is known as POS on sites like TexAgs. No A&M baseball fan calls him by his name.

It is because of what Schloss did that OM wouldn’t let Kiffin coach the CFP, according to a friend of mine. It is why I am a fan of the OM playoff run last year.

And yet Arkansas vs AM games are generally very close

Using “close games” as a form of shite talking when you’re like 2-15 against that program in the last 20 years pretty much solidifies his point

Oh yeah! And just think of the grief we are going to bestow upon the fan base of the first SEC team we beat next year. Well, you know, if we ever beat one...

Can't argue with you there.

But the timing left us with no choice. By that time all recruiting and coaching changes were all but done.

I think we should go and get the Dallas Baptist coach and be done with it.

Takes bravery to push against the grain and what most fans want

Maybe 8&5 should take a page from that playbook since they are historically so successful in all their sports.

It’s truly a dead end job imo like LSU football is

LSU has played for 4, and won 3 National Championships since OU last won one.

LSU was kinda a dead end job in Atlanta. When they put up 49 points on OU in The First Half!!!!

Don't forget John White who, as Chancellor stated it was his intent to de-emphasize athletics and direct as much funding as possible to academics. He actively sabotaged Nolan, while also withholding resources from the football program. We've not recovered almost two decades later.

Do you have any proof at all to back up these claims? An email? A text?

What team leaders confronted him? Can you please provide a link to what those players have said specifically?

Thanks
