That Wilder guy is an absolute animal. A freshman superstar. He was the guy who forced Arch out the pocket on 4th and 9 where we somehow completed it and he never came back into the game after that.

I just can't see Mateer making the throws he needs to make against a Georgia defense. Kirby is going to bring the heat and disguise where its coming from. Once Mateer gets uncomfortable, his mechanics go out the window and he tries to force things.
I think they have an upset or two in them, I just don't believe it will be inbetween the hedges.

I can tell ya the guy we got would have never entered the nfl draft if he was granted a fifth before. He was and is still enrolled finishing his last semester to get his MBA. He was also not a very good guard.

My only issue is if these guys don’t sign, next year it gives incentives for fringe guys to go to the draft, take their shot in mini camp and if they don’t make it, they can just come back to school because they have more years of college eligibility.

I wasn’t a fan of the hiring of your OC at first but now that there’s been some time it makes sense to me. Why bring in someone with a new scheme and offense in when Marcel operates at a high level within it? He’s spent so much time in it, bringing in a new offense could make him play more hesitant as he’d be learning it too.
I definitely have concerns about our OL as well as I do Arch. Can he find actual touch on his balls? It seems like he likes to throw it hard and turns it a lot so will be interesting to see if he’s made improvements in that aspect.

I personally think that DJ took the hiring of Lane to pivot back to the number and probably talked about entering the portal if promises weren’t made and Lane wasn’t about to lose a top player over a number and a promise he didn’t make.
