If anyone wants to read more. Twitter sucks, but it’s probably better than reading Pat Forde repeating it or whatever.

The two journalists that wrote the original story have posted more stuff about it on Twitter.
Interviews started back in January. The timing was on the reporting end - not the victims coming forward.
Washington Football Team also did an investigation and interviews a day before releasing Guice.

Both reporters are explicitly sticking behind the accusation that LSU did not investigate either allegation.

From what I’ve heard from a few others, there is corroborating evidence (not as part of this report, I’m a little unclear on that) that heavily suggests the non-consensual allegations were well known among the football team.

Hard to investigate when neither girl reports anything to LSU

Would you agree or disagree?

This is false. One of the parents reported it.

1. I said neither girl reported it

2. The girls father reported it to the womens tennis coach after the daughter was kicked off the team

So yes, yall maybe able to go after the womens tennis coach for covering it up. Have at it Plate

It might not have been their responsibility to report, but they’re going to regret not doing it sooner (if they did not).

A legal analyst / former sports lawyer is now saying that LSU is likely in huge Title IX trouble.

It’s time to bring the hammer on the women’s diving and tennis teams. Those coaches not immediately reporting should not be tolerated.

Well, we all know reporters are always 100% correct with their information all the time.

It is curious with all of the press coverage on sexual assaults the past 20 plus years, that the women failed to contact the police, get a rape kit done and wait four years to come forward.

Forget the bad judgement of getting blind drunk and inviting a man over in the middle of the night without expecting some sort of interaction.

If Guice is guilty and there is evidence proving that then he should do time.

Without a Police report filed, what can as school really do ?

Threatening a female reporter.

quote:

Why the fuc.k are you poking around my life, get out of my business or else.

And the SID knew?!

quote:

When I reached the SID, I read him the message and shared the phone number. He confirmed it was Guice

Seems like he likes to intimidate females and LSU covered it up or ignored it.

Hopefully all of the victims get justice and an apology from Guice, LSU, the AD, coaching staff and anyone else who allowed this to happen or ignored it.

If the two alleged victims decide not to file a complaint or goto the police, what exactly do you suggest that LSU does about the situation? Do you believe they should throw a player off the team? I'm curious what you think should have been done here.

Likely not good for LSU and anyone involved needs to be held accountable, including O, if there is evidence to support things.

That said, I can’t understand two things:

- why they didn’t go to the cops (either before or after informing LSU admins; and
- why is the hell would a guy not beat the hell out of Guice (with a bat if necessary) for raping his girlfriend?

There’s a lot of reasons why women don’t go to cops. Specifically for college students, pursuing justice through Title IX and similar policies are less stressful, less invasive, and have a lower burden of proof. The system just failed one or both of these women here.

Facts are irrelevant. A pound of flesh must be taken.
