I’m thinking of Shane Guidry.
His best friend is one of the most corrupt people in the state. Birds of a feature flock together.
That’s my position too. We never should have started it, but no choice but to finish it now.
Seems that way to me too
Thoughts on Senator Tim Sheehy?

What’s the consensus on Sheehy? He’s a naval academy grad, SEAL, etc. He seems like a good businessman. I always question dudes that write books about themselves. In doing a little research, there seems to be some issues of credibility.
What’s the consensus on this guy?

A man worth $1T could have any human on earth disappeared. Schiff should hope that Elon doesn’t have those tendencies.
If Biden had started a war with Iran, got the Strait shut down and then proposed this “deal” all the Trump absolutist would be going ape shite.
It’s okay, you can be a Republican and admit this deal is an abomination.
Any rational person knows that it is…

You think this deal was worth the war, and its effects, in the first place?
If I were to tell you in January that we are going to war with Iran and that:
- we will have bases destroyed
- billion dollar radar systems destroyed
- spend $100B on munitions
- have personnel killed
- Straits effectively closed
- cost of goods and gas go up…
But,
- we settle it by getting the Straits open to pre-war status
- regime remains in place
- Iran promises to be nice
- We, and others, pay at least $300B to the regime we went to war with
- the people we were “protecting” are still under threat.
That sound like it was worth it all?
Oh and by the way, we have further alienated ourselves from virtually every previous ally on earth.

Exactly. This is a disaster and an embarrassment.

My goodness. Why did we start this war again?
I think we are about to hit an inflection point.
Until we see the full details, it doesn’t really makes sense to argue anything. This could be great, it could be bad.
The only question that should matter for any of us is whether the war helped or hurt the United States, or put another way, is our world standing in a better spot now than if no war occurred?

That’s possible, but either now or later, JX is going to start to separate himself from Trump. Trump is cycling down and making poor decisions, JD could work to separate himself from those decisions using articles of this nature. Probably not likely, just a thought
That’s fair, I suppose. Are you going to eat crow if he doesn’t though.
Very true, and obvious, at this point. One caveat…the Trump Bros vigor is decreasing. They know he screwed this up now. They have hope it will workout, but hope is not a plan.
Vance comes across as a very good leader in the article. My cynical mind wonders if he’s the leaker.

I read that yesterday. If even half of that is true, Trump has multiple leakers within his inner circle.

Let’s nuke 90 million people to keep them from getting nukes. Makes complete sense.

That’s laughable. Until Iran says that they will not attack anything going through, insurance companies will not insure vessels or cargo.
These fools are just gaslighting now.

re: Trump: Iran has taken too long to negotiate a deal.. now they will have to pay the price!

Agree. What’s also crazy is that Tulsi had literally just testified that Iran was not close to getting a nuke.
Trump said last week that the uranium is entombed, but we somehow felt the need to start a war over impending nukes?

Okay, Kharg is heavily fortified and IRGC has 150k to 190k active personnel and they are radical.
Let’s say we attempt to take Kharg. How many US casualties are you willing to accept to take the island? Does taking Kharg assure the Straits are opened or can Iran still use the threat of drones and mines to prevent passage or insured passage?
IRGC exists all over Iran. How do you root them out and defeat them without invasion of the mainland? How do you take Tehran? Again, how many casualties are acceptable and how long do we stay?
