Well said. The argument is has nothing to do with Kamala or democrats. The complaint is based on Trump 2.0 being a total disaster. No one can honestly say they are getting what they voted for unless you are a Democrat that voted for Trump.

I think you have to give him three full years to really make any adjustments of expectations.

IMO, the argument is not, “but he’s better than Kamala”. That’s not the point…the point is that the guy so many supported has not done what he said he would do.
No objective person, if given the facts of today in September of 2024, would think $6.50 diesel, no Epstein related arrested (ignoring document mandated releases relative to Epstein), starting a war in Iran even thought the DNI provided data stating that they were not close to developing nukes, adding trillions to the deficit, etc., is winning.
There is a reason why his approval rating is under 30%, and it’s his fault.
If he’d remained on the DOGE move, indicted democrats cheating in elections, indicted congressmen and women that are corrupt, indicted Epstein associates, not started a war because Israel was about to attack, etc, his approval rating would be above 50%. He should have also ramped down the rampant corruption in his own family that have enriched themselves with insider information.
He’s his own worst enemy because he’s reactionary and not pragmatic and because of his ego.

The Grove and the tailgating set-up, manner of dress, prevalence of beautiful women, etc., is very unique. The fact that they are able to cultivate that type of game-day excitement with relatively no football accomplishments of note since integration is pretty amazing (that’s a compliment).
If they do start to actually put hardware in the trophy case, it’ll go to another level.
OM was an early adopter of NIL (I personally know several members of the Grove Collective Board). They’ve built themselves for modern football.
They also have some inherent advantages at home. There is not a suitable hotel for the visiting team (that’s a real advantage). The same is true for opposing fans…it’s hard to stay in Oxford. Small stadium so less seats for visitors. They use these advantages well.
People outside of Mississippi don’t want to admit it, but OM has real money as well. There are plenty of fakes, but seeing the number of PJs flying in Thursday through Sunday on a game weekend makes you understand, there is real money at the school and they have bought in on winning.
That said, I genuinely hate them.

They have a fairly easy schedule. Probably split State and Florida. Maybe split Texas and Georgia. 10-2 or 9-3.
We have Texas A&M at home. Reed has owned us. Potential loss
Kentucky and UTenn on the road will not be easy.
Alabama has played us well for 70 years

MS State has a QB nearly as dangerous as Trinidad.
We could lose 3 or 4 out of that schedule.

Why do people think Ole Miss will regress once Chambliss is gone?
They have the best run collective in college sports. They are very attractive as a school for recruits. They are creating a winning tradition in the new NIL world. It’s a shock to accept, but Pete is clearly a great coach.
In this current landscape, OM is as well positioned as anyone to win. If Indiana can be a power, why can’t OM?

One thing to add: I think most Tiger fans realize you are correct but it’s hard to admit because we are just three games in to a brutal schedule, we finally have “our coach” and because we are public enemy #1 with most of college football cheering against us.
If Kiffin gets us to 9-3, it’ll be a miracle. I think it’s more than likely an 8-4, 7-5 type team.

The word you are looking for is pretentious. The Grove is not trashy…there is a lot of cos-play wealth…and there is real wealth now too (lots of TX, GA, IL, VA and NY kids with extremely wealthy parents there now).
I hate to admit it, but the ghetto culture invading LSU tailgating has made portions of the game day experience trashy.

We’ve imported the 3rd world and engrafted 3rd world virtues as well. The underpinnings of why America worked…Christian worldview…is declining in impact by the year. Even “Christian” churches don’t preach the Gospel anymore.

The 25th Anniversary of 9/11 marks some weird things.
On 9/10/2001, we had essentially been away from war in any meaningful way for a decade and had been separated for nearly 25 years from a long term, sustained war.
Our national debt was negligible compared to present day. Things we see today, like support for a woman who admits murdering her kids, a Muslim mayor of NYC, woke culture acceptance, etc., were unimaginable.
Now, we are on the backside of a 20 year war, have engaged in a new ME war, debt is out of control, Congress is totally useless, woke culture is embraced and socialism is spreading like a virus.
Is there any way to right the ship? Are the good times really over for good?
