re: Lawsuit is NOT about a breach of contract and NOT for damages (money)

Correct, kind of. People ask for declaratory judgments to ask for a court to outline the rights and remedies of a contract. To get these, you need to have a justiciable controversy. The controversy is whether BK is subject to the liquidated damages clause. I think this is one of the rare instances where a dec action is appropriate.
quote:
First, LSU is paying Kelly as per the contract. There is no allegation that LSU has not paid or has refused to pay. Legally, this lawsuit is for a "Declaratory Judgment" to determine the relationship status between Kelly and LSU. Practically, it is a bullshite move designed to move the needle via social media.
Just objectively incorrect. See paragraph 42 of the complaint. It's a dispute about whether a liquidated damages was triggered because of BK's termination without cause. If LSU's legal position is that they can "convert" this termination into one with cause or that BK wasn't even terminated, that argument isn't going to go far.

Here to add that if you're doing Amex Platinum, make sure to get the Charles Schwab version - You can convert your points into cash back at a rate of 1.1 cents per point (10% boost) and you get all of same benefits/credits as the regular Platinum card. Add in the Amex Gold as a point driver if you want.

Amex Platinum Charles Schwab - Get the Charles Schwab version, because you can redeem points at 1.1 cents per point to your brokerage account (think of it as a quasi cash back card with rewards potential). Delta is a direct travel partner if you're looking to book rewards flights.
It's a great rewards card for travel with a 5x point multiplier for flights and hotels booked through Amex Travel.
If you take advantage of the credits, it's a good bang for your buck:

This is assuming you can take advantage of most of the credits, but the AMEX Trifecta is still the best in the game:
AMEX Platinum Charles Schwab - cash out AMEX points at 1.1 cents per point up to $10k per year with limitations thereafter. 5x points for AMEX Travel and flights. Thus, effective 5.5% cash back with CS Platinum for those categories).
Stack with AMEX Gold - 4x points for restaurants and groceries up to limits (effective 4.4% cash back with CS Platinum for those categories).
Also stack with AMEX Blue Business Plus - 2x points for all purchases up to $50k in purchases (effective 2.2% cash back).
Finally, stack with Rakuten, which you can get cash back via AMEX points.
The interesting part is that Charles Schwab doesn't report AMEX to Charles Schwab Roth IRA conversions as "contributions." It's been discussed and debated extensively (with Charles Schwab even sending a letter to the IRS defending their position) ( Reddit) and make sure to consult your CPA about this. But, if it works, it could be another mini back door Roth IRA that you can use to get around the income and contribution limits - You can use the AMEX points you received from all three cards. Even if you don't use this strategy, you can cash out your AMEX points at the 1.1 cent per point into your taxable brokerage or your bank account.

I got married in the Strand, so I'm biased but it's a great place for Mardis Gras. And this part is nice.

Little Woodrow's on Shepherd is the LSU bar. Midtown location is fun too.

Working a McDonald's shift and showing up in a garbage truck really made it hard for the left to cast the guy as America's next Hitler.

Seating Sections Tiger Stadium

Any response would be helpful here. I'm bringing a group to their first Tiger Stadium game and found some tickets. Of these sections, which would should we avoid or would be preferrable?
East 300s -- I've heard this area gets hot with the sun. I've also heard these get a lot of visitor team fans.
North East Endzone (230-244 and below)
