I come here about once a day. Every time I come here, you’re posting about LSU.

You’re either a certified retard or a very bad troll.

And you can’t really believe this can you?? He would have turned down Florida, a school that has won multiple national championships this century, is in a fertile recruiting area, has excellent resources and facilities, pays way better all to coach in a game his team was a couple touchdown underdog in?? No one can honestly believe this.

It has nothing to do with LSU. LSU did not, as far as I know, tell Lane that he couldn't coach Ole Miss in the playoffs. For people to compare it to Kiffin's situation is stupid. Don't let the press, or the other thread fool you.

Right, that's why it came across as a straw man argument on his part, because everyone just assumes he's taking a shot at LSU. But, I don't know what question was asked of him that sent him down that rambling path.

It's just reporters trying to stir up shite, just like that stupid arse Florida reporter asking about how difficult his decision was to not choose Florida. There is no way to answer without having somebody get their feelings hurt. The media sucks.

The question he was asked was what if Florida had asked him not to coach in the post season. Many UF fans were wanting him to focus on Florida for recruiting and not Tulane.

They (the media) are trying to stir up shite and make Lane look bad, or make it look like there is some kind of animosity, but Sumrall wasn't taking a shot at anyone.

So, basically, people are hearing what they want to hear and are changing what was actually said into what they need it to say to troll people. Got it. I never did hear the full clip. Thanks.

Kiffin tried to finish the season, Ole Miss wouldn’t let him.

Why are gumps sticking so hard to this incorrect narrative?

Yessir, that they are.

Kiffin was in a no win situation. There was no way for him to have an easy exit. Much different scenario than Sumrall.

I really kind of admire Kiffin for not taking the easy way out, which would have been staying at Ole Miss, or the 2nd easiest would have been to take the Florida job. Nope, he chose LSU and there is no getting around that it ruffled way more feathers making this choice.

Now Ole Miss fans are seething and the only thing that can calm them down is to beat LSU. LSU fans feel like they have had to put up with their former coach (Saban) taking the job at Alabama, so everyone else can go pound sand.

The SEC is not going to be boring, that's for sure.

You think Tulane is a better job compared to Florida? I mean very basic common sense would say it is better then LSU....how much have you drank today? Offical record verse UF 34 LSU- 32-3

So if it is better job is better than Florida, it is also a better job than LSU. Right?

I mean from SEC titles, to draft picks, to Heisman winners, to record head to head, to NFL draft picks Florida- 387 LSU - 398. We are very, very even. So basic logic would say..if we suck do does the School that is very equal to us.

Or maybe....neither suck?

We are very, very, very alike...so if we suck, so does LSU..I mean, we are basically the same. So if one sucks, so does the other.

was he at press conference and denied out right that he was not going to be the LSU HC??

I’m pretty sure LSU fans believed this was Lane after that first phone call from LSU on October 26 because, well…. I think the phrase was, “we’re LSU and we’re clearly better than everyone else. Especially, Florida.”

he wanted to coach the Rebels in the College Football Playoff, but athletic director Keith Carter opted against that happening.

"We went through a lot last night with Keith Carter trying to figure out a way to make this playoff run work and be able to coach the team," Kiffin said. "And at the end of the day, that's his decision and I totally respect that. I understand that decision. And so I just totally wish the team the best of luck."

I do agree, he resigned on 11/30/2025. But he would have resigned at a later date, had AD Keith Carter been okay with it. It could have gone down like Jon Sumrall's departure from Tulane. You can accept a job elsewhere, while still working with your current employer. Its a fairly common practice.

Maybe I misread what he said, but I thought he was saying that if UF wouldn't allow him to coach in the playoff, not Tulane. Also he said he wasn't referring ot any other situation, so LSU fans need to quit getting riled up by the other thread. Or not. It doesn't matter, as you guys are gonna find a way to hate him eventually. But in this case I thought he was specifically talking about if his new team demanded he only coach them starting immediately, and not allow him to continue with Tulane.

Brother LSU fans are baby shite soft.
