I do agree, he resigned on 11/30/2025. But he would have resigned at a later date, had AD Keith Carter been okay with it. It could have gone down like Jon Sumrall's departure from Tulane

More than likely it would have happened like it has with Kiffin in the past. He would have completely quit focusing on his responsibilities and begun focusing on his new job - recruiting, filling out a staff, trying to flip players to the school he is headed to, and now NIL and the portal. That is the way it likely would have worked, which would have screwed Ole Miss.

The fact that Nick Saban fired his OC Kiffin a week before a national championship game shows what happens when Kiffin postpones a resignation date. Alabama would have been better off if he had left immediately and given Sark more time to get his feet under him.

The fact Saban did this then simped for Kiffin to coach Ole Miss in the playoffs was so fukn slimey.

As an Alabama fan I didn’t like it either. But I think they are both Jimmy Sexton guys. Who knows if that is why he did it, but it sure didn’t help.

So you are saying he would have turned down a job offering a ton more money? Seems...odd.

The reading comprehension on this site is frightening. He was saying Florida’s coach is full of crap and lying as there is no chance he’d pass up millions of dollars and the chance to coach at a big program to stay at Tulane because Tulane wouldn’t let him coach the playoff game.

Possibly. Sumrall wasnt going to fall off a cliff. He would get offers every year. He very much liked living in N.O.

They are. So is Pete. With Lane and Pete both getting big raises, CAA is the biggest winner.

All these phrases are just unknowns

You're salty Alabama lost that game just 7 days after Kiffin was fired Saban probably should have kept him.
