I want my school to win. If they don't, I sure don't want all of our biggest annual competitors to win instead.

eta: think about the level of retardation of a UGA fan actively cheering and rooting their arse off for bama or florida or tennessee to win a natty just because they happen to be in the same collection of member schools as us.


I understand. I don't agree but i do understand your point.

I believe the SEC winning helps the conference. Prestige, money, interest, etc. but I certainly understand if you don't give a shite about anyone but your own team winning it. Most probably agree with you.

The financial incentive comes from the ppl who profit off of it. ESPN, big network, fox etc, and anyone whose paycheck gets signed by them. Also last time I checked the beat writer in Boise doesnt have a lot of cachet in terms of college football influence but the talking heads at espn and fox do. They’re the drivers of this but I imagine the local guys you’re framing would indulge for clicks as well.
