Confederacy are not this is my heritage and my ancestors fought for what they thought was right during it. AND IT WASN’T ABOUT SLAVERY! You can change a flag, deface confederate soldiers graves, and change names of schools but you will never be able to take away where we come from. I think I speak fir many AMERICANS when I say that I am proud to be from the south and from someone that stood up for what they believed in all those years ago.

Even if they were too dumb to realize it, your ancestors were fighting for nothing more than to preserve slavery for the benefit of their wealthy overlords. The antebellum south was a sad wort on this great nation that needed to be removed. The history is what it is, and it shapes all of us - in good ways and bad. It should never be revered or looked upon fondly, however.

You are wrong. The Civil War was about the American government taxing the 13 southern states more than the Northern states. When the 13 southern states had enough of this they separated from the union as amthe confederate states of America. In the constitution that was set up by our forefathers it states that any state could separate from the union as a Confederate state. It was Abraham Lincoln that went against the constitution and started a war with the southern states. During the war he issued the emancipation proclamation freeing all slaves in the 13 southern states but not the northern states. A fact that no one talks about now. Also, he was automatically buying votes by doing this. Just like Obama did when he granted every illegal alien amnesty during his tenure. I am so sick of hearing about the slavery crap, racist crap, and prejudice crap. The damn war has been over for 150 years. If you don’t like it here get the hell out of this country.
