Better be damn glad they flushed whatever they had left before letting the cops in.

This is some BS. No weed was found. If JHC just keeps his mouth shut about smoking a blunt, this is a non-issue. You can't suspend players for having bloodshot eyes.

Ty Smith (JHC's roommate) has been advised by Richt to transfer to a JUCO to get his mind right. JHC, meanwhile, was advised by police not to say anything because they had nothing on him but he still came clean and said he and Ty had smoked a blunt.

No possession + Honesty = Internal punishment

No arrest, no charges...

quote:

Police advised the two players there was “no physical evidence to support prosecution” on marijuana possession charges. However, they were told the incident would be documented and turned over to the UGA’s Office of Student Content.

UGA Police Chief Jimmy Williamson said he called Georgia’s coaches to inform them of the incident.

I get the feeling CMR is going to give us another in a long line of "Thanks, Richt" moments. There is really no good reason for this kid to be suspended. Internal punishment would be totally sufficient in this case, but if Richt's past suspension history is any indication, we're looking at at least the Clemson game. He suspended Commings last year for 2 games even though all charges were dropped.

This is another case where the AJC really hurts us. A newspaper article about a dorm room incident with no charges. Whatever intern they have scanning the UGA/ACC police reports needs to be dealt with.

Nah. Just seems everyone is ready to sling mud at the drop of a hat, when no one really even knows the truth but Richt and the players involved. Useless to speculate a suspension and/or discipline when there may not even be one.
