So the article says he was suspended for 1 game, but also says that Richt hasn't made a decision on punishment yet. Does this mean that the suspension is punishment from the university, and that Richt could add on more punishment?

Damn. I love weed and hate Clemson. This is double kick in the junk...

However, the incident was reported to the UGA’s Office of Student Conduct and police informed coach Mark Richt, who has yet to make a decision on punishment.

Nobody is saying they should be suspended. They admitted to what they did. It's hilarious to hear UGA fans trying to defend it.
Anyway frick this if he's actually suspended.

Richt: “Here’s what I’ll say on that: Josh Harvey-Clemons is going to miss the first game of the season. That’s all I’m going to say.”
Asked if a one-game suspension is automatic in this case: “I’m just going to say he’s got a one-game suspension.”

He is actually suspended.

I don't know. I sort of always liked playing them that second game because you could always count on them having two or three key players suspended," Spurrier told ESPN.com.
It's that time of year again, maybe.

Well here's the whole damn problem right here. Frickin' heathens.
In all seriousness it's college y'all! Light it up! I mean lighten up! Sounds like the AJC has reporters along the same lines of the journalism jesus named Ron Morris at The State in Columbia, SC. Hate that mofo with a burning passion!!

Agree, this is nothing more than the AJC trying to get more hits on their website so they don't die (will happen eventually). People act like UGA kids are the only one's lighting up. Glad you see the whole story. Every one of these thugs smoke pot. Difference is, the AJC pays interns to do nothing by sift through 200,000 pieces of paper on a daily basis looking for anything to create the drama thus boosting their site traffic. Took them 2 weeks to find this info. frick the Atlanta Journal Constitution...

I think you give them too much credit. Police reports are not posted for about 1-2 weeks, and there arent 200,000 reports in athens a day. in fact it's pretty easy to dig this kind of stuff up

I exaggerated, obviously, but it's just bullshite they have people that do this every day all day. Meanwhile, other schools across the Nation have this same exact shite going on, but they don't have a giant sinking ship of a newspaper trying everything they can to stay a float like UGA has with the AJC.

bullshite. AJC doing their job.
The bullshite here is the damn police chief deciding to give a little ringy dingy to Coach Richt and tattle tale on JHC. I suppose he thinks it is some kind of respect thing, better he hear it from me than read about it in the paper.
That's horseshite. The kids name never should have even been in an incident report to begin with, he wasn't arrested, there wasn't a citation, he was honest and cooperative with the cops, if this was just a regular non-football student I can guarantee the kid's name never would have appeared in any incident report and no incident report would have even been filed. No report filed, no AJC report, no "better Coach hear it from me, chief Williamson"
This is another example of Athens/UGA cops vs Football program.
This is infuriating.
There has to me more to this story.

When I was at UGA, I had cops come bust up shite at my house/apartment at least a half a dozen times, never once did my name ever appear in a damn thing. Even when people were arrested and dragged out and citations written to other under-agers, never did my name appear in anything.
If I was on the football team, you better believe they'd have been talking about me on Chuck and Chernoff.
What the frick possesses Lumpkin and Williamson to conduct their departments this way?
ETA
I should have posted this on the Dawgrant, I really don't give a shite what you rednecks think. You can all go to hell.

When an officer is called out to a suspected crime, suspect gives name, etc... You be damned sure that a majority of the time it's going on some sort of report. It's not like the officer was just walking by or patrolling. They were called, thus a report was filled. Said report filled with details of incident. Part of the job. It is also against campus rules to invest drugs as well, which suspects admitted to. But go ahead and blame it on someone other than the person who did the crime.

It wasn't his dorm, his name doesn't have to be in a damn thing unless the cops want it to be. The fact he was cooperative and no laws were determined to be broken, he name never should have been in anything. Flourney Smith's name? Sure, because he is the resident. I could see that.
JHC never should have had his name in a damn thing.
