Nobody in the country knows about that regular student smoking weed....the student-athlete has the added responsibility of representing the university's image and reputation in everything he/she does. And is given a free education in return...

The cops had a call in to them about the odor of pot coming from a dorm room. They go to the dorm, and also confirm the smell of pot. Both players were found to exhibit "signs of marijuana ingestion”...there is a scale found in a drawer(??), plus a bag with traces of what appeared to be marijuana in it. Both players admitted to smoking blunts.
No, the players didn't have Cheech and Chong-sized hoglegs sticking out of their mouths when the UGA cops showed up, but to say that there was "no evidence" of weed smoking is a bit of a spin job, lol....
And the AJC didn't say the players "should" be suspended, it said they might be suspended, which isn't exactly false...
If the glove don't fit, you must acquit.

Well when you have a player admit to it, you test. if not, it looks like its being swept under the rug.
And just to make it known, I am the last person to bitch about someone else smokin' da reefa, but it is still illegal and puts players in a bad situation, which makes it wrong for them. And until times change, it is what it is.

Also, when someone is driving a car and is pulled over, and the cop finds NO MORE evidence than what the UGA cops found in Room 303, that driver is usually arrested and taken into the hoosegow for testing. But at UGA the campus police throws the bag with residue back in the can, sticks the scale back into the underwear drawer (minus a pair of Jockeys of course), and leaves telling the kids to remember to brush their teeth before going to bed. Pretty nice setup.....

And all I'm saying is there's a clear difference between a blunt and joint. And who cares, it's MJ. They were sitting in their dorm not hurting anyone.
It's funny because it's UGA, but in my mind they didn't do anything wrong.
