I bet someone in the UGAPD is just feeding the AJC this shite to make news... F the AJC for trying to turn this into a big deal...

FWIW I feel it's a victimless "crime" and neither player did anything wrong in the first place.

But with current rules and legal states...

So it's settled? We march on the AJC at dawn?

Legally, sure. But the school isn't going to be as lenient.

What does "No arrest, no charges" fit under current rules & legal states?...

So what's he being suspended for? I never said he got arrested. But if marijuana was legalized he wouldn't be suspended.

I agree with you guys and you still find a way to argue with me

I wouldn't be so sure... Adams is retiring next month & we've got a AD who learned the business under Foley at Florida & they've never had a prob covering up weed violations...

Our point is that they should be. Frick the UGA drug policy.

I would like to thank the AJC for forcing the school's hand on this issue.

He's not, that we know of. AJC is the country's leader in misleading headlines

Nothing.. that's just the AJC's sensationalized Headline...

Hell, if you read the article, the headline has nothing to do with the story...

And if you read the last line of the "article," you know that the AJC is 1.) pandering for page hits and 2.) hoping so bad that they can coax UGA to say JHC is suspended so they can run at least two more stories on UGA's drug problems and give Schultz/Bradley a Sunday paper sound off about how UGA is sacrificing morality for the sake of winning football games and we should all be living our lives like Paul Johnson and Georgia Tech.

I really hate that fish wrapper.

JHC needs to consult Fernando Tatis on this matter. Let the art inspire you JHC. LINK

God dammit. Keep your mouth shut, know your rights.

Anyway, I could see Richt not suspending him. No arrest and it doesn't say he failed a test anywhere. Maybe he smoked a blunt of tobacco and had allergies that day.

ETA: frick the RA that knowingly reports the police on a football player smoking pot. I remember the exact type that went out of their way to get students in trouble when I lived in the dorms.

This is another case where the AJC really hurts us. A newspaper article about a dorm room incident with no charges. Whatever intern they have scanning the UGA/ACC police reports needs to be dealt with.

What it sounds like to me. That's a hell of a write-up that could hurt a kids future whether it's football or not. Not only that, they induce that a suspension should occur as a result of the incident without any communication with the coaches. An overly excitable media looking to take a story to its maximum possible end to create a desired effect. If there's a ripple lets add some wind and make a wave.

The one I'm thinking of in particular - and I shite you not - wore jorts and took his job way too damn serious. Meanwhile one of his female colleagues was banging one of my friends down the hall.
