I'll agree with you other than Furman Bisher having any reputation worth tarnishing. He is old and wrote for a long time, I'll give him that. But he was a part of the completely fabricated story about Wally Butts and Bear Bryant colluding to fix a game. That whole mess sunk the Saturday Evening Post (they had to pay out 3 million in damages, during the 60's, for making the story up).
You really, really need to read this book...

UGA couldn't have beaten UA that year if they had gone against Bamas' JV team.

Maybe.
Strange things happen.
So you're saying you've read the book?

Watkins' path to the endzone just got a lot clearer
Let's just hope he doesn't do the same dame thing and get suspended for the opener again haha

As someone who was around and a teenager of 17 back in 1963...I remember the bombshell when the Saturday Evening Post revealed the story regarding the Atlanta business man who eavesdropped on the conversations between Butts and Bryant...remember the outcome wasn't being fixed...it was the final score that would favor Bama by extra points, UGA was pretty weak back in the early 1960s. Dooley took over in 1964.
Oh...back to the OPs original post....UGA can ill afford to lose anyone on defense after having the roster stripped clean of experienced players. If you look at the defensive players drafted off the UGA team this past season and then look at their stats...ranked somewhere near 51st in total defense I think...it shows theres a problem somewhere.

UGA beat Clemson senseless with 8 players suspended a few years back. If Spurrier says one hypocritical word about the suspension, I will try my hardest to egg him at the game. This is all.

Yea I can see how 2003 is relevant to a game a decade later.
Sidenote, I was at that game, most miserable game of all-time. It was atleast 100 degrees with 100% relative humidity at kickoff. People were passing out in the stands all around me.
That and the Sanduskying on the field.
