This situation seems to refute some of yalls claims about UGA and the campus police, does it not?

No. They did not have a reason to take him to jail. They took their powers to the absolute maximum by filing a report with the school and calling the coach. If they had found any pot, they would have taken him to jail.

Stupid 18 year olds will admit a lot of things if it means getting the police out of their dorm room without going to jail.

I'm going to have to ask that you put your faith in my quite extensive experience with regards to UGA players and drug usage as it pertains to suspension. Arrest = suspension. No arrest = anywhere fro internal punishment to 1 game suspension.

To smoking a blunt. Richt may not condone the inhalation of fumes produced from rolling paper, but dammit kids are gonna be kids, amirirte?

Oh he definitely smoked it, I have no doubt about that. My issue is if you can suspend a player with no physical evidence of a rules violation.

Also, I guess I am upset that players can get suspended for smoking weed when regular students only would have to pay like a $20-50 fine. I am also upset that the AJC is trying so hard to make this a story.

Yeah....lol this is some desperate spinning. No one says "blunt" in the south without it being a joint.....the whole purpose of smoking a blunt in the first place is to hide the fact that you're smoking weed by putting it in a cigar wrapper instead of waving a Job 1.25 joint around...

The cops had a call in to them about the odor of pot coming from a dorm room. They go to the dorm, and also confirm the smell of pot. Both players were found to exhibit "signs of marijuana ingestion”...there is a scale found in a drawer(??), plus a bag with traces of what appeared to be marijuana in it. Both players admitted to smoking blunts.

No, the players didn't have Cheech and Chong-sized hoglegs sticking out of their mouths when the UGA cops showed up, but to say that there was "no evidence" of weed smoking is a bit of a spin job, lol....

And the AJC didn't say the players "should" be suspended, it said they might be suspended, which isn't exactly false...

So this stupid 18 yo thought if he admitted to smoking a "blunt" instead of saying they bought and smoked a "swisher sweet" the cop would go lighter on them. Seems legit.

Why run one player out of town, but not the other. Better player?

Ty Flournoy-Smith wasn't run out of town (as previously stated) he is transferring down to GMC for grade issues and disciple issues. He was arrested for illegally selling his school books. JHC has actually never been arrested for anything. Has he been in some bad situations? Sure; but I do not believe you can suspend players (Stars or not) for bad judgement, lest no one in the SEC would field teams come fall.

I didn't say this was sound logic. I did preface by saying "stupid 18 year olds"
