Sorry, I shouldn’t have said it like that. Atlanta is a fine city. It’s just not a place I like personally, it’s not my kind of place.

I would move the SECCG to the Superdome and SEC offices to New Orleans. Clean this conference up finally

Put it in Memphis. There are not really any SEC contenders in thst area.

Someone is scared of Georgia....

It would be cool to have it be in New Orleans but I don’t mind Atlanta

Are you trying to get everyone shot and mugged?
It would be safer in Afghanistan.

1996-2010, the Big XII Championship Game was held in St. Louis, Kansas City, Houston, San Antonio, Irving, Arlington. It was nice to see it rotate different cities. I wish it was still that way in this current era.
It would be neat to see the SECCG rotate different cities in the Southeast as it is the premier conference title game with usual national championship implications on the line.
Mercedes-Benz Superdome - New Orleans
Mercedes-Benz Stadium - Atlanta
Raymond James Stadium - Tampa
Nissan Stadium - Nashville
NRG Stadium - Houston
Alamodome - San Antonio
The Dome At America's Center - St. Louis

Why not the higher ranked team get it on their home field?

Maybe we should move the game to Shreveport like the OP suggests :)
Seriously though, there are plenty of SEC West team fans when they play in Atlanta. It's not like it's 90% full of fans from UGA.

It's past time to move it.
Put in the N O Superdome for the next 50 years.

I'm sorry but you must be smoking crack.
Dallas, NOLA, Houston, Nashville, somewhere in Florida. Those are possibilities.
Nobody wants to go to Shreveport.

Already looking for an excuse for losing? Damn, that's no faith in your team.

not a bad idea, I could support this IF the lower ranked team was guaranteed something like 40% of the tickets

It does need to rotate but the rotation should be:
Atlanta, New Orleans and Dallas
All are major metropolitan areas with enough airports and lodging to accommodate any and all situations.

Since the SEC Championship has been held Georgia has gone 7 times and are 3-4 and will likely be 3-5 after this year. Doesn't seem like a huge advantage to me. Now I would not be opposed to it rotating between Atlanta and New Orleans in nice dome stadiums, but Shreveport? No one wants to go to Shreveport for a game like this.

The SEC Championship Game should be played at the home of whichever participating team is ranked higher. That's fair imo.
