I mean going by this, is LSU a better program than Nebraska?

Why did Frost take a huge risk going there? He could have taken the Florida job. That would have been a very good one for him.

17-18 year old recruits will have seen LSU play for four titles and win three in their lifetime. OU would have lost 3.

One things for certain - there won't be two new conference members in the history of college football that receive more boos on the road than Texas and Oklahoma.

I knew from the second it was announced that Texas was going to be a pain in the arse and much more trouble than they were worth. I thought Oklahoma would be a better fit. The last two months have taught me otherwise.

So he rather take a suiside job at Nebraska than take the safer route? That would have been the Florida job.
That Florida job was open and it would have been a homerun hired and probably would have won the East division easily.

LSU has recruiting advantages over ou.

All other things being equal, I'd choose lsu.

I'm sure the 10 yo recruits remember the 21-0 game.

The answer to LSU situation is simply to hire a gay guy, who dresses like a slob and is frankly......ugly.
Then he wouldn't be distracted by lust and could keep his mind on the job. (of course, somebody else would have to do all of the recruiting}

What's great about those stats is that is within the Big 12 where OU has had virtually ZERO competition. Gonna be great to compare those against his SEC stats. Worldly different outcomes. Come on Riley.....you will love it at LSU. Get use to the sounds of sirens.

of course OU is a better program, but apparently they may feel like Riley isn't good enough to pay 12 million since he's 0 for the playoffs and never won a national title.

Other than having to play Bama, Georgia, Fla year in year out, its an easier gig, if

Wrong. Coaching in the Big 12, were there may be one team that can beat you is way easier then coaching in the SEC where 8 teams can beat you.

coach with focus and charisma was hired by LSU, they could rival bama in regards to program strength. Saban was the guy until he wasn't. Then Saban built Bama. but he was well on his way at LSU.

Saban at LSU

2000 8-4
2001 10/3
2002 8-5
2003 13-1
2004 9-3

Saban first 5 seasons at Bama

2007 7-6
2008 12-2
2009 14-0
2010 10-3
2011 12-1

Saban couldn’t even do it at LSU. Bama is just a head above as a program. LSU is not a blue blood and never will be like the Bamas, Oklahoma’s, Ohio States.

LSU is more like Auburn, an occasional breakout championship team with a mix of average to above average seasons around it. Good, but not great

I love the "kids today" narrative. It means nothing with a dynamic recruiter

Yes because they want it more and will do anything to win. Texas arrogance keeps them down. Oklahoma is a better job than Texas because of the culture.

Oklahoma has won 14 out of the last 20 Big 12 titles. It is a much easier gig than LSU. They never had the need to join the SEC because of that until now.
