All-time Oklahoma but in the modern day LSU. Maybe OU’s move to the SEC impacts that.

historically no. If I had a chance to coach either, I'd choose LSU. Other than having to play Bama, Georgia, Fla year in year out, its an easier gig, if the coach doesn't get distracted by the coeds and other 'scenery'.
If a coach with focus and charisma was hired by LSU, they could rival bama in regards to program strength. Saban was the guy until he wasn't. Then Saban built Bama. but he was well on his way at LSU.
I'd like to keep the top jobs to about 4:
Bama
Texas
Fla
LSU if they didnt have pretty much 50 yrs as underacheivers
Those 4 have recruiting advantages and with a focused coach could rule the college football scene.
You have to add in
Okla
tOSU
Fla St
Clemsons recent success
UGA current success
USCw
because of past accomplishments but they don't have the built in recruiting hotbeds as the other 4.
UGA should, but history hasn't been as successful for them.
The answer to LSU situation is simply to hire a gay guy, who dresses like a slob and is frankly......ugly.
Then he wouldn't be distracted by lust and could keep his mind on the job. (of course, somebody else would have to do all of the recruiting}

No one thinks LSU is a better program; the history is clear — but the history doesn’t always determine which is the better coaching job.

It's fair to divide college football into two eras. Pre-integration and post-integration.

I mean going by this, is LSU a better program than Nebraska?

I've personally never considered Texas a "blue blood."
Leaving a blue blood (Oklahoma) for a wanna-be blue blood (LSU) would be interesting.

Stats before current high school seniors were born are mostly irrelevant.

So...just so I understand. You are acknowledging we have been good outside of 2019 right?

The "advantages" of being a blue blood are gone now.
It simply doesn't matter anymore.

Oklahoma has been better in both eras, so that doesn't even matter.
