re: Anonymous SEC Defensive Coordinator on Sam Leavitt

I remember anonymous SEC coaches criticizing Daniels and Burrow prior to their breakout seasons as well. I'm not saying Leavitt will put up their numbers, but Kiffin sure as hell seems like he's confident he got himself a winner at QB. I'll take his word for it.

He was not going to make it as a full time starting quarterback.
My complaint is that we didn’t have him on the field enough. We used him too sparingly at other positions

I personally think the duo of Durham and berry are gonna do the heavy lifting of the scoring
I think LSU would have at least 6 more.

I'm expecting 12-0, as usual, until we lose one. Then I'll expect 11-1 and so on. Screw that 9-3 talk.
Don't give a shite. I just hope he gets lots of tackles.
Trust me, I'm not excusing him. I'm glad he's gone.

By the play call before the snap. Do you think all players are giving 100% effort knowing that the play is doomed before even lining up?

I'm glad Sloan is gone and Kiffin is here as much as anyone. With that said, the offense was severely handicapped with an injured QB and a shite OL. That's why they ran WR screens so much.

That would suck. Only thing is the team will be coming off the emotional high of the Ole Miss game and turn around and have to get on another emotional high for A&M.
People put way too much into the emotional letdown BS. That applies mostly when you're facing an underwhelming opponent following a huge one. Otherwise we'd see more letdowns in playoff scenarios where emotions run high for a month or more.

Technically 2430…two teams play per game.
quote:Exactly. Saban knew this. That's why his teams were stacked on both lines 2-3 deep.
frick that I want them both, but out of the 2 I want Brewster. You win on the OL and DL not WR.

We can lose out on Brewster tomorrow, I’m good. I want Royal.

quote:I know of Rock Bordelon, the owner of some north Louisiana hospitals, but I don't know of anyone with the initials RM. Bordelon has a very bad reputation around here. The hospital in Ruston failed their state inspection so miserably that they aren't even allowed to accept Medicare anymore. A local journalist tried writing about it and RB immediately had his legal team send him a cease and desist letter.
Damn you. I’m from Monroe and I’ve been trying to figure out who you’re talking about for the last few hours
Florida 1997.
Good stuff there!

I've rarely heard the argument, to be honest. I've never debated it, because it comes across as quite retarded.

quote:Chavis always had four down linemen that could generate a pass rush, and he played more of a bend but don't break style with elite CBs. More teams used straight up pocket passers back then as well. Not all, but certainly more than today's version of college football. Now it seems like almost everyone has a scrambling QB.
At least Chavis made it look quite easy, probably cause all of that talent back then

As athletic as Perkins was, he was a liability fundamentally. It wasn't solely his fault, but I remember him completely running past the QB at times, breaking any possibility of outside containment.
