Auburn is a tough place to play when AU is good. Imagine that concept.

He isn't wrong. Kyle Field is not intimidating. It doesn't even sway anymore. Y'all went corporate.

I couldn't be bothered to do the type of deranged yelling we do at AU if I knew we were going to win the national title whether AU won the SEC or not

This is how I know you haven't been.

Its closed in and the student section is bigger. It's obviously louder.

And more of the stadium is made from steel. That sways a hell of a lot more than concrete.

Texas A&M fans sitting in the newly added south end zone seats at Kyle Field felt more than pride and excitement during last year’s Thanksgiving contest against LSU — they felt the stadium shake.

The artificial crowd noise AU pumps in through the sound system gets LOUD.

They do go full tilt bananas during the BAMA game though. Those folks want to beat BAMA in the worst way.

I was at the 2013 Iron Bowl which I think we could all consider the pinnacle of Jordan Harre Stadium

Dec 2, 1989 was the pinnacle. Not just of JH but any stadium for any football game ever.

IMO, Auburn is the toughest road game.

I have been. I saw Leonard Fournette put a defensive back on his arse and run for a touchdown right in front of me.

ETA: I even sat in the new endzone expansion and it was mostly empty.

I went to the SEC opener against UF (which was actually the first game A&M played after their move to the SEC).
I was expecting so much more. South Carolina and Kentucky were louder. Genuinely. This is not hyperbole.

The only gameday experience I've been more disappointed by is Ole Miss.

When any of the big 6 are really peaking and playing well you could make a case that they're all on the same level of toughness.

100% agree. Big6 + A&M. Maybe State too..

I think South Carolina is widely regarded by SEC diehards as one of the most consistently energized places to play that isn't necessarily dependent on South Carolina's record or the opponent

I would agree only because of their techno song they play over and over. It is like crack to them when they hear it. Only thing worse is hearing Rocky Top at Knoxville.

Fortunately, we only heard it twice during the whole game last year. *cough41-0cough*

See this is exactly what’s keeping me from taking that road trip. I hear from some that it’s amazing and I hear from others that it’s vastly overrated. I’m not gonna spend a lot of money and drive all the way there if it’s not worth the time.

I was at that game. It was plenty loud.

I was in FL last year. It was okay loudness wise, but was clearly a notch or two below most A&M games and easily the game you went to.

If you know someone who tailgates in the Groove, probably fun. If you are just showing up OM is run of the mill tailgating and a mediocre stadium experience
