Yeah, from 2004-2008 every one of those games, quite literally, went down to the last seconds

It's like everything else at A&M/College Station - Nice enough, pleasant, boring

Wait until A&M and LSU have good teams, then it'll be worthwhile.

So a trip to CSTX would be nice, pleasant and friendly but not a buck wild party like a trip to LSU? It seems like people come to LSU because they know how we get down and they wanna get trashed. Am I right

I went for the Cam Newton LSU game and was impressed.

That was an awesome game and every game at JHS that year was loud.

So far this decade, when facing opponents that finish ranked in the AP Top 25...

At Home, Auburn is 8-8 against such teams.
At Neutral Sights, Auburn is 3-4 against such teams.
Away, Auburn is 6-15 against such teams.

The Median Margin of Victory/Loss in these games is:
Home: +1.5 points
Neutral: -3 points
Away: -14 points

I'd say that's a pretty strong home advantage, especially when you compare how they've done at home vs. how they've performed on the road in big games.

Auburn's record at JH vs SEC teams in the last 10 years is 24-16. They have lost at least 1 of their 4 games in 7 of those years. The undefeated teams are 10, 13, 17. Like one AU poster said earlier in the thread, they are tough when the team is good. Every SEC West team has won at least once in their 5 appearances.

Best SEC opponent records at JH in the last 10 years:

A&M: 3-0
UK: 1-0
Bama: 3-2
UGA: 3-3
LSU: 2-3
Ark: 2-3

Best OOC: Clemson 2-1

We were ranked Top10 both times, and OM was garbage both times. They were 11am kickoff both times.

And both times the Grove was empty and so was the stadium.

Maybe it's a great experience when they are good and have a night game against LSU? I have no idea, but I will never make that trip a priority again.

I was at that game. It was plenty loud.

I was in FL last year. It was okay loudness wise, but was clearly a notch or two below most A&M games and easily the game you went to.

It's a free country. You are welcome to your incorrect opinion.

Not a hard concept, if the teams are good they are hard to beat. I think BDS is the least intimidating stadium of any of the Big 6 Schools, but I bet it is the hardest to win at since Saban took over. Those excuse mongers who want to say AU only won against UGA and Bama because of JHS are just fools, to include Gary Danielson.

I went to the SEC opener against UF (which was actually the first game A&M played after their move to the SEC).
I was expecting so much more

that was a 2:30 game in september, before the stadium was closed in, and i bet you were sitting right on the edge where visiting fans were relegated to at the time. not a good example of the kyle experience.

I agree with the thrust of your argument, I think you were the poster to whom I was referring, but "fools" may be a bit harsh - I would say wrong :-). Though I'm sure you agree that it's harder to win on the road than at home. But yes, AU had the better team that day than either UGA or Bama. You were good and you were hot. But it can change in a week or at a different venue.

It seems like a place that’s only really fun if you know people there. If you just go without knowing people who go there or went there, it probably isn’t fun. They seem like a go Greek or go home type of college.

You guys had a good team this year that failed miserably against good teams outside JHS...Danielson has a very valid point.

You also had a top 10 team heading into the 2 ND half of November in 2016 that failed miserably in the 3 games outside of JHS...starting to see a pattern here with Gus and AU

This would make more sense to me, but it's too far and was too disappointing to give it another shot.

My opinion is that the fans were not nearly drunk enough, which is why it was so boring.

BDS pre Saban was the worst of the big 6 but with the expansions and some culture change in the student body, it sits comfortably ahead of UGA and UT.
